2008 IATVHSS Round 1 "Fun Valley" Montezuma,IA

The opening round of the 2008 IATVHSS took place at Fun Valley in Montezuma,IA. The week leading up to the event was meet with a ton of rain and left much of the parking areas sitting under water. The Fun Valley staff was busy getting everyone into spots that were near the pavement and for the most part dry.

The 50 classes which run for 30 minutes were the first to get a chance to challenge the course.

Here's Austin McCoy who would put in a great run and finish third for the day in the 50 stock class. There were 13 racers this round in the 50 stock class.

Nicholas Serck a new racer to the IATVHSS, but definitely no stranger as his dad is Paul Serck who embodies the spirit of the sport. Nick's brother Adam also made his Iowa debut.

50 production racer Kendrick Uehlin was off to a commanding lead in his class and would finish with top honors for the day.

Christian Hohneke got bitten by the racing bug once again and was back to battle in the 50 production class. Christian's Dad and Mom were gracious enough to sponsor the 2nd round at Fort Dodge, IA May 25th,2008. Get ready for the Honky-Tonk. On behalf of us all, thank you so very much for your generosity.

Even these little guys had to pick good lines and showed huge hearts. Getting some traction on the grass and leaves seemed to help quite a bit.
