2005 ATVA ITP Moose GNC MX Round #11 - Unadilla MX

New Berlin, NY - ATV MX racing headed North to Unadilla for Round #11 of the ATVA GNC MX Series. The Unadilla MX track has been a long time favorite Outdoor Motorcycle National Track, but this is a first time that ATVs have been allowed on the National Track at Unadilla, and the exciting news of this historic event spread quickly with an impressive 751 riders signing up to race.

The natural terrain track at Unadilla contained numerous unique features with the "Sky Shot" capturing everyone�s attention as the top riders launched over the jump reaching distances close to the 150� mark on the side of the hill.

The track also had several other unique features Including "Gravity Cavity", "the Wall", and "Screw U"

"Screw U" was almost a vertical dropoff and climb of about 150 feet which only the Pro and Pro Am riders were even allowed to conquer during the race, and they used every bit off horsepower climbing up hill side as you can see by the roost.

With so many elevation changes on the track, you would expect the parking, vendors row, and the Pro Pits to be on the side of a hill as well like other Natonal locations, but not at Unadilla.

The Pro Pits, vendor row, and all the parking was on level ground and there was plenty of parking space available on both sides of the road for racers and spectators and it was level, which is a plus if you drive to a races with a camper,trailer, or motorhome.

The Pro Pits were stretched along a road and two rows deep to accommodate the large rigs.

John Natalie Jr wrapped up the National Championship at Daniel Boone with his Overall Win, so he put the #1 plate on his practice machine to celebrate his accomplishment, but don't worry, John plans on keeping his #13 number plate for good luck.

After winning the Championship, Honda invited John out to Oregon to film an upcoming commercial and everything was going fine until he high sided a berm and wrecked leaving him with a torn muscle and some serious bruising, but he wasn�t going to let it stop him from competing at Unadilla in hopes of breaking Doug Gust single season win record of eight in 2004

The buzz about the debut ATV National at Unadilla spread beyond the USA borders to riders in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada who made the trip to the US to either race or be apart of this exciting event.

European, John Mitchell, made the trip from Scottland for the oppurtunity to compete in the Pro and ProAm Class, and test his skills against the best in the World.

John Mitchell has finished in 2nd Place the last few years in the British Quad Motocross Championship behind Paul Winrow, and won the Pont De Vaux last year with teammate Doug Eichner.
