2005 GNCC Round #1 "The Lonestar"

Ready or not, GNCC Racing season begin this weekened in Glimer, TX. This is the second year the series has headed down to the Lonestar State for the Opening Round.

If anyone has ever been to a GNCC, they can't forget the smiling, Keith Weimer, collecting the gate fees from sunrise to late into the night.

Once you enter the race area, you will normally find Big John riding around on his Grizzily helping direct the incoming vehicles to the proper parking areas.

Early Friday Morning, the racer production crew was still busy preparing for the weekend of racing.

With Suzuki as the newly announced Title Sponsor, The Podium back drop now contains photos of Suzuki riders Rodney Smith and William Yokley.

Todd Knippenberg almost didn't make it to the opening round of the GNCC event after he lost control of his Truck & Trailer while driving through the snow in West Virginia mountains.

His trailer was demolished in the accident and his truck was damaged to the point that he wouldn't be able to make the trip, so he called fellow pro rider, Andy Lagzdins, to ask for help.

Andy Lagzdins rerouted his trip to Texas, so he could pick up Todd Knippenberg and bring him to Texas.

The tireball guys were busy all day installing new balls and changing tires for existing tireballs owners.
