2004 GNC TT Round #4 - Elizabeth City

The 4th round of the GNC TT Series headed to the Atlantic Coast to Elizabeth City, NC which is located within miles of the ocean and only around 40 miles south of Norfolk, VA along the North Carolina Border.

#5 Shane Hitt made his return to racing at Elizabeth City after being sidelined since March with a broken leg. Shane Hitt is one of the fastest TT riders ever and with Curtis Sparks working on his engine and setup I expect to see this combination leading to a win before the season end.

The Pro Heats were held during the day with Shane Hitt quickly showing that he was definitely ready to return with a 1st Heat Win which would put him on the front row for the main Event at night.

#2 Darin Ogden has quickly developed into one of the best TT & Short Track riders. He came on strong in the Pro Ranks in 2002 by finishing 6th in TT and winning the Short Track Championship. In 2003, Darin finished a distance 2nd in the TT series behind the undefeated Shane Hitt. This year he is is once again running strong in both the TT & Short Track events with Podium Finish at Orrville, OH in the 1st Round.

The Start of the race had Shane Hitt grabbing the Holeshot, but he jumped the line and the race was restarted with Shane Hitt sent to the back row, which would make it almost impossible to work his way to the front.

Upon the restart, Tim Farr grabbed the holeshot with Keith Little, Darin Ogden in hot pursuit.
