2004 GNC Round #12 Loretta Lynn's

The final round of the GNC MX Series was held at Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN which is located just about 60 miles west of Nashville, TN.

Nashville, TN is widely known as the home of Country Music and the Grand Ole Opry, which was at the Ryman Auditorium for years in Downtown Nashville, but it has now been moved outside of town to a new larger location off the main highway.

With this being the opening weekend for the Olympic games in Greece, it was only fitting to check out the Parathenon in Tennessee The massive structure was built in 1897 for the centennial exposition and now is an Art Museum.

When I arrived, I quickly found out that this was one of the largest turnouts I have ever seen at a ATV event. Trucks, Motorhomes, and cars where parked everywhere they could find a empty space and they stretched around the entire facility. After driving around for a while, looking for a parking space within a short walk of the track, I finally parked and began checking out who all was in attendance for this big event.

EXriders.com Site Sponsor Pro Armor's Cory Hinsz made the trip from California to introduce himself to Pro Armor sponsored riders. Cory recently took over this position after Ray Martinez started his own venture. Pro Armor couldn't have picked a better person to fill his shoes, Pro MX racer Cory has been involved with Pro Armor since they began, and has been helping them develop and improve their products over the years. Cory also will be attending a GNCC series race in the Fall.

ITP Tires, Craig Peterson, also showed up to watch the final round of the MX Nationals. ITP tires has really stepped up to the plate this year as the GNC Series Title sponsor and enhanced its very successful rider support program. ITP Tires also has been listening to the racers in both the GNC & GNCC Series and released several new tires and wheels to provide riders with more options for different track conditions, which also has been very successful.

ITP is far from finished and EXriders.com will be bringing you all the details in an Interview with Craig Peterson coming soon!

The always smiling Sherri Baldwin was happy to announce that the GNC Banquet will be held Saturday, November 6th in Fort Mitchell, KY at the Drawbridge Inn. Adult tickets will be $35.00 and Children tickets will be $20.00. Also, rooms are available for $85.00 for those attending and want to stay the night.

Gary Denton also showed up to show his support ATV racing. Gary Denton was an ATV Racing machine from 1987 to 1994 when he won Grand National Pro Class Champion eight times in a row

Gary Denton spent most of the day at the Suzuki trailer, which was only fitting considering he was part of Suzuki's first ATV racing Teams back in 1987 when the factories were heavily involved in the new sport of ATV racing. Now, 17 years later, Team Suzuki once again has returned ATV racing with Doug Gust, and next year, team is expected to be expanded to include even more riders, which will be truely awesome! Now, where is Yamaha & Honda?

Gary Denton is now the Marketing/Advertising Manager for Weekend Warrior trailers, and they will be awarding a Trailer at the GNC Banquet to one lucky rider this year.

Another Great ATV Racer from the past, Curtis Sparks (Right) has been actively involved in the ATV racing for years and has been providing trackside support this year for Jeremiah Jones, Keith Little, Harold Goodman, and many other racers, but he was mostly hidden from view working on his racers machines in the back of their trailers. Rumor has it that Curtis Sparks will be have a larger presence at next years GNC Series.

Former ATV racer, Scott Drummond (Back Right) will be joing the Sparks Staff and moving his family from the Carolina's to California to assist with the larger programer .
