I have read that you can put a trx450r swingarm on a 2003 300ex and the use the 450r shock. Is this true? And is it as simple as unbolt and rebolt or do you have to mod stuff?

any info???? please

I dont know about this, but I have heard a lot about people putting an 01 Raptor rear shock with the remote resevoir on. This is supposed to create a much smoother ride. I guess this is a bolt on mod for the 250X/300EXs.

Look at the "all kinds of 300EX info" thred. You'll find every thing you need. And it is not exactly a direct bolt on. You will probly have to shim out some stuff. and weld on a suspension link mount on the frame if you go with the pro link setup. You could probly go with a no link setup but you would have to get a custom length shock.

Like he said, it isn't exactly bolt up. You need a 250r rear shock, and 450 everything else including carrier. Stock 300 hubs will work though. If you can weld, that is really the toughest part of it so you have a good start. Check out the thread I started on it a while ago.
