1995 honda trx300fw. 4x4. no spark. has new stator, cdi, alarm box next to cdi box. will sometimes spark when hitting the start button but only sparks when you go to let off it.
will not spark at all with kick starter. will not spark if you jump the solenoid

any ideas as to what to check or what it might be ???

mine used to do same thing,I replaced cdi and that fixed mine,maybe try another cdi

thanks, it was the cdi.

I had replaced it with a new one, stated for this quad. But somehow it was the wrong one. I finally got the right one and it worked fine.
