Here it is with new bars (minus grips). The plastic is only partially on because I just wanted to take the bike out to make sure the new pads were going to stop me. Time to ditch the original rears in favor of some new tires and then I'm ready to ride!

nothing brings a tear to my eye like seeing a fender made for a kick-start motor.... that used to be what seperated the mens quads from the boys quads.. none of this electric start / reverse crap...

let's hope the new zuk is an improvement over the old 230 quadsports (anyone ever kick start one of those cranky bikes.. they kicked forward )

leo the R kicks forward too......

Leo, I had an old '86LT230S Quadsport. The kick starter actually kicked sideways, towards the footpeg. Sort of an awkward angle. Let me tell you something, it may be a small bore 4-stroke compared to today's quads but don't try kicking that thing over without the compression lever on or you may shatter a leg bone.

I also had a quadsport. I actually had the 250 version though...they only made it one year. Same deal, the kick start kicked out....it took awhile to get used to it.

I had a Suzuki Q'sport 230 too It was my first quad I got when I was 11, kicking that over was tough for an 11 year old trust me, and the compression release lever always got stuck, it was horrible, It was a nice quad though, still have it, needs a major rebuild, could be a future project......

I knew it was some crazy thing like that.. I never owned one, but way back in like '89 or '90 my friend had one.. I remember getting bit by it a few times..

i had an 87 quadsport 230, kickstart, i had it for 2 years, it never had a decompression lever, when i first got it , i used to kick it over with two feet, lolol, then i learned how to do it one foot and could almost do it while sittin down, those things have the weirdest kickstart. lolol,

I have a 1989 suzuki quadsport 250 .It is stock has stock tires. It is getting a new top and bottom end for it. It was not drivin for 8-9 years and I got it from my moms friend to fix. We took the carb off and their were no corosion(SP?) in it. it has cracked rings. I am buying a new pipe system for it. I changed the oil in it when I got it. Ties it to the back of a saturn(car) and jump started it and boy did it give us a smoke show. The neighbors loved us. Two weeks ago I got it stuck in 3 feet of mud, Stuck all the way to the bottom of the fenders. Had to pull it out with a Rancher 2x4. Yes I hate the kick start on it I want to bend it out but it would stay like that. I have to turn completely sideways to start it sometimes. I like it though.
