Not sure if I`m posting this in the right place but I just got a YFZ450.
My question is: how should I break in, I mean should I do it like the manual says or riding it hard as some people claim that is turns out to have more power doing this way.
Thanks in advance

i let my blaster idle till it warmed up, then rode it hard. not sure if its right, but it seems to be considerably faster than other stock blasters.

Heat cycles are the key. Let it warm up ride it then let it completly cool down. Do this 5-10 times. Always keep steady compression on the cylinders (i.e. don't lug it in too high of a gear.) Don't be scared to open it up just don't hold it there. Have fun.

I know on my Predator when i first got it the break in period was 1 hour of riding or 1 tank of gas. I don't know just a thought. Hope it helps.
