My buddy is thinkin about buying one of the older model trikes with a shaft drive. Has anyone had experience with this type of trike & no any advantages/disadvantages of having a shaft drive quad?

shaft drives are fine, you just can't compensate for different tire sizes or change you're top speed/acceleration. you don't have to worry about chain adjustments or replacement. if you guys are just casual trail riders, you'll probably love shaft drive. if you like to ride at a good clip, you'll grow tired of it quickly.
