The Manual says to run 10w40 in both the trans and the motor. Would it be O.K. to run the Honda HP 2 stroke trans oil?

Suggestions?

I will be switching to Maxima after I run a few Tanks.

Thanks.

Read your manual again, in there it tells you that you can use the trans oil in the tranny.

Mia450R,
Thanks for the link. I just wanted to make sure, I am kind of a perfectionist, and wanted to be sure I was giving my motor and trans the proper Attention.

Thanks for all the help.

For use in Two Stroke Motors Only

Threw me off a bit there!

DO NOT RUN HP2 IN IT AT ALL!! It is premix oil not tranny or engine oil. The 2 stroke trans oil is HP Trans fluid. That is what you want in the tranny. It comes in a red pointy bottle.

I have the stuff in the red bottle!

Thanks for the warning, but i ain't dumb enough to put Pre-Mix in my fourstroke.

LOL!

My buddy and me are running Honda GN4 10w-40 4-stroke oil in the motor side and Honda GN4 20w-50 in the tranny side. Just a suggestion and thats what we use...
