What is the max RPM on the 450r, when does the rev limiter kick in?

I've been told 10,100 actual RPM. I haven't hit the limiter on mine, nor measured where it occurrs.

It's definitely not that low. That's where a 400EX revlimits at & this thing will certainly rev higher than a 400ex.

im a 2 stroke guy and i hit it all the time, is that bad? why shift if its still climbing and climbing and climbing. kinda starting to know when it comes on anyway.

Mine's still bone stock & power starts rolling off a bit before I hit it. I bumped it a couple times today, but only because I was coming into a corner and didn't want to shift....

i am so used to my ex. now i have a 450r and i short shift alot. im getting better tho
