I just bought a 02' 400ex and was wondering what you guys suggest i do to break it in . let it idle for a while then shut it off , let it cool down and repeat ? How soon should i change the oil ? plug ? . All info if greatly appreciated . i'm sure i'll be back with tons more questions . Thanx in advance

don't let it idle for an extended period of time when it's brand new.. not the best thing in the world for a new camshaft..

take it out and ride it..! go easy on it, avoid really hammering on it, but don't lug it around either.. basically just be gentle on it, use the time to get used to how it handle's etc..

run a few tanks of gas through it like that (it's tough I know!) then let 'er rip...

For the first 1 or 2 tanks of gas don't just open it up slowly work your way up to fully open throttle (If you go that high) not sure why........
