Does anyone know the top speed for a stock 450.

I heard its in the mid to upper 70's,,,, dont know for sure though, gonna strap the gps to mine this weekend and find out.

I got my 450R a few days ago, and yesterday,me and my friend raced.. It wasnt a normal race, Because what i was racing was no atv.. we raced up an old 2 lane road,

He was in his brand new 3v ford lariat, i got him big time on the take off, and basically all he wanted to see is what it had on top, and thats the only thing he has that can keep up. but anyways, we raced and i toped it out, when he come up beside me he stayed for a second,, and then left me.. but he concluded that when he passed me he was doing 81 mph.. he said i was in the upper 70's.. and that sounds about right.

its no gps but it gives me a good idea.

Please tell me what the GPS says this weekend im interested. I have a 2000 440ex and it does about 75 to 80. I thought the 450 would be around 85. My friend has an xr600 with a speedometer and we caculated it around 77.

I think it was trx450r_racer that has posted on here like 2 or 3 times that his run with a gps had him going like 78.5. I hope this is what you were looking for.
