YFZ 450 Worth it or not??

Hey guys I was just wodering what you would do. (do not wanna act on an impulse) Here is the deal.

I found an 04 YFZ450 with GYTR pipe, jet kit, armidilo skid, and nerfs. He wants $4,000.00 and a 2001 Kawasaki Mojave worth about $1,800.00 in trade. Does this sound like an ok deal to you?

HOw much out the door is the YFZ new in your area?
How was the YFZ ridden? Does it look taken care of?
Why is the person selling the quad? to much bike. wrecked?

I know the guy. he is in way over his head. He bought a duramax deisal and is getting laid off. He still wants a quad so that is why he wants the mojave. I have ridden it more than him. It has about 2 tanks ran through it. He also bought the extended warrenty(I race so that will be void) He paid $7,000.00 for it. OTD price here is $6,200 + tax of about .07%($435.00) It is in new shape.

i think 1800$ is $500 to $700 cheap on the mojave .....but if you can swing the deal you'll be a happy mofo

The Mojave has been rode hard and put up wet. I took it in trade from my little neigbor for my old 400ex and he thrashed the Mojave hard. On its 3rd rebuild. So I doubt I could get anything over $1,800 for it unless you know something I don't about the cost of Mojaves but thanks a lot guys you put my mind at ease! I have made dumb impulse decisions in the past did not wanna make the mistake again. I really am thankful!

if you know it isnt beet up, also dealer cost on the is 5,800 so if you can get it for less go for it !

If the bike is in good shape, take it. they run about 6-7 grand brand new around here!

I got it and it is awesome!!! I can Fly on it. I should be able to win the B class if all goes well and I can stay away from tree. Gettin the beadlocks Tuesday and the skid. No shock or anything like that yet due to $$$$. I just hope I dont hurt myself on this bad ***** machine.
