are hipers really worth the 800 or 900 dollars?I'm just doing XC trail riding and 1 or 2 races this year. Are these really worth that much money?i'm sick of bending the aluminium rims.Or if i just get the back ones will those be good enough?im only 15 and on somewhat of a budget.

Posted by: Pappy

for what you described....no. the cost would outweigh any benefits you would gain over standard aluminum beadlocks

Posted by: JDiablo

hey pappy how much are beadlocks at burgard?

Posted by: Tommy 17

get burgard or champion beadlocks (Burgard is the same thing and alot less)

u'll NEVERRRRRRRRR bend them... with the inner ring and the beadlock outter u'll never hurt them...

i think burgard beadlocks are 105$

Posted by: Pappy

i believe they are like 110 a rim but im not certain.

Posted by: JDiablo

wow if that is the price that is good,i might have to pick up 4 of um,after the a-arms and swinger

Posted by: vtwoodsrider

well i have a set of 8in hipers and the rim is great but the hubs are junk. they fit very poorly on my rpm axle and ok on my lsr axle. but the splines get sloppy and the hubs never stay tight. also when i contacted them about it they wouldnt reply to my e mails. which is why i just got a set of alum. beadlocks

dont e-mail them.....call them!!! its more effective

burgard fronts are a little more. so are 9 in rears. check ebay for his auctions. hes always got a deal. no one else would ship them for 5 bux a wheel either.

Burgards are $110.00. I called them the other day.

Hipers are really only worth it if your an every weekend/or national racer. I race nearly every weekend and some nationals so i bought some for both of my quads...

Posted by: JDiablo

im a weekend warrior every weekend in the spring time and summer time i ride sat like 5 to 8 hrs and sunday 2-4 hrs.Now i gave you my average time of riding, you think they are worth it?last summer i went through two pairs of rear rims, and one pair of the front ones.and now im back on stockers...think it is worth it now?idk im probably going to end up paying the 900 or so and get them....

I thought c&d sold them for under 700 for a full set.

Pappy where did you get those Irazr's? Off the R? How do they work, and do they hold up better then stock radials?

Posted by: Pappy

i wish i could tell ya how they work....too much snow to evaluate them

if they are 700 a set at c&d im going there....saves me over 200!!

Posted by: K_Fulk

Is the sidewall thickeron them than the stock radials? just rying to find a little real world information about them.

Posted by: Pappy

i really didnt notice anything extrodinary about them just from mounting them on teh quad. what little riding i did on the R felt good, cornered ok and seem to track well.

Posted by: roostin_dale

well i dont think they are worth spending for a 300ex. I only bought mine because i race every weekend and i would get a flat tire on non-beadlack wheels. I would say get some alluminum beadlocks or reinforced rings.

and i dont know where you say them for $900

and werent you buying a 400ex?
then a few hours later said you were doing a project 250r

Posted by: JDiablo

no i wasnt buying the 400ex,and i bought stuff alreayd for the 250r,just waiting till the summer time for when i start working again....just got fired from my other job i did here and there but it still brought in the money

Posted by: red

You should be able to get a full set for around 700 or less.
there was a full set of used ones with tires in the used section the other day for 600. Just watch to find deals.
