Newbie Axel Nut Question

Sorry for my ignorance on the subject but on my 400EX is the axel nut supposed to be butted against to center section of the swing arm or closer to the right tire?

it should be butted up on the right side along with the lock nut as well.

So I should see threads along the left side of the axle nut and lock nut?

Yep, threads are visible on the left side of the nut and it's butted up against the c-ring on the right.

Be sure to keep it tight, you dont want it backing off any.
