How often should I change the oil in my 300?
Posted by:
it depends on how often and how hard you ride it. The more the better,,just keep an eye on the color of it. I change mine about every 10 hours,,but I ride hard and fast though,,and have a big bore kit. At least 2 ta 3 times a year minumum.

I don't race, and I don't spend all my time at 6000 rpms, so I change mine after about 4 or 5 rides. That works out to about 12-15 hours on an oil change. The oil has never come out looking black or dirty, so I think I'm alright.
Now let's see how that compares to everyone else...

I change every 3 months on my recon. It gets ridden a lot. We use it on the farm. It's hard to keep track of the hours on it since it has about 6 or 7 different drivers, and they just hop on to look at cattle and stuff.. On my 300, I haven't changed it yet. I haven't even ran a tank of gas through it yet. Been to cold to ride it much.

I change mine after every race. And after everytime I go to the practice track.

I change mine after every weekend of riding.. that is usually about 10-18 hours, and use Mobile 1 15w-50 tri synthetic it will make your bike run cooler and last longer..
Oh... but not to break it in..
