If you know of anyone that makes a cheaper plastic one please let me know. I rolled mine twice already and the hood is cracked and has a hole poked from the inside out from a bracket.

Most likely Lakercustom.com will be making a hood. It will probably be cheaper than 165 bucks.

Call Laker Custom and tell them they should make a hood for it and they probably will.

i talked to the guys at meier at the dealer show this weekend and they said they will have a stock replacemnt and a race hood soon. its gonna be around $30, so i think i'll just get a shiney black meier hood rather than a carbon fiber, that way if i wreck im not loosin 165 bucks

I e-mailed Maier today asking about a replacement hood and their responce said that it should be ready by late spring at the latest.

Does anybody know of anybody else that sells carbon fiber air scoops???? Quad Tech wants $213!!! Anybody else knows someone cheaper?

Spoke to Laker Customs today and the said they should have a finalized version out by the 1st week of March. They are also going to do some plastics shortly thereafter. In alternate colors will be the great thing. Not that I have anything against the factory look, but I need something that will set me apart while at the dunes.

One of my buddys took a brand new TRX400EX, and 15 mins into his first ride managed to roll it. He managed to crash his brand new quad six times in less than 4 hour of riding!!!

When I first bought my 400ex in 01 I got it out of the truck, I cranked it up and I let it warm up for 2 min then I got on it and rode a 2nd gear whellie after 250ft I fell on my *** and scuffed my grab bar. My dad was laughing his *** off
