OK what is a case saver and is it hard to replace your clutch cover

A case saver is a horseshoe shaped piece of metal that goes around the front sprocket and chain. On a 400EX, it extends to cover the shaft for the shifter coming out of the motor case.

On most stock bikes, the clutch cover is the entire side case for the motor. Wether or not it is hard to change depends on your mechanical abilities.
