Nerfs or not?

Is it better to run nerf bars when racing XC or not? i see some with them and some people without them. is it just personal perference?

Yeah, they would seem to get cought, but would be worth it too.

I have ran with them and with out.I hit a tree in a race clipped the nerf hard enough to push it into the rear tire cost me 1st place.I feel much safer with them I think the good out weighs the bad.I will have nerfs on any future quads I own.Nothing like going into that first turn with no fear of someone getting between your front and rear tires.........can you say cartwheel?

I don't run them. I was going to give them a try - but back in the summer I actually saved myself from flipping down a hill that was crazy slick because I put a boot down and caught myself. It was during a race and If I would have had nerfs I would have rolled sideways down the hill. Plus the thought of getting my foot caught in the nets freaks me out a little.
