We will be heading out for florida tomorrow for gatorback. Cant wait to get there, temperatures are looking in the high 80's for the weekend there, def. a big change from here. Hopefully Seaford will have the quad turnout like last weekend, that was cool to see that many quads there, show then bikers what is up.

I hear you guys put on a great show this past weekend. I wish I were there. Most everything of mine was except me. I am just glad to here a real close freind is back in action and has the drive he needs to actually do something this year. I hope he has a bike to at least stay on 152's grab bar.lol
Justin have a great time in florida, I am glad the nats are finally back on the east coast. Should be some big changes happening this weekend.

Not you again. I knew it had been quiet around here lately. You don't want to make me mad...I may have to start practicing during the week.

We don't plan on riding this weekend. We want to take a little break before the D7 season starts. Old #74 called me this morning to ask where I was riding. It seems he might actually be thinking about riding again.
Posted by: Dupontster
We're going to Birch Creek if anyone wants to join in....Going down for a full practice day...Figure I could learn and get more riding time in than Budds....Two wheelers will be there ruttin up the track...
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
JRP seaford is like 2.5 to 3 hours away or more depending on traffic. Well worth the drive this time of year, alot of fast riders go there. A few pro's and I hear Pastrana shows up from time to time.
Birch creek this weekend, boy you are making me jealous. The best track I have ever rode/raced. Actiontown rates right up there to. When are ya'll going down Dupontster? Travis wanted to go last week but couldn't find a riding partner. I've gotta keep on top off his riding schedual.haha
Oh yeah anyone going to budds prepare for the most rutted whooped out track you have ever rode. Loretta Lynns qualifier brings in 1000 or so dirt bikes.

Hey Terry, How ya doing....Old man Dup here....Hope you're feeling better...We are leaving early tomorrow morning....Wayne (Gary's friend) is going too....I know it is a long way but I figure he can get some quality riding time down there and who knows, if he likes it, we just might try the Nationals down there....We were going to Budds but they are having that LL qualifier this weekend and we can probably go to Birch Creek and ride all day, stay the night and still be cheaper and get more riding time than what they charge at Budds....Have to buy a weekend pass just to get in today...Just to ride da ruts....We are planning at least 1 Actiontown this year too...Is that closer than Birch Creek? CYA
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
If you practice at birch you will end up racing the nat. Awsome track. Yeah actiontown is only 1.5 hours from me birch is like 3. Its probally as close for me to go to actiontown as it is budds. Are yal'll going to budds next sunday?
Posted by: Dupontster
Probably will....Want to get some seat time before the Nationals.....Going to try to hook up some kind of 4wd for Budds cause I'm sure we'll need it...
Posted by: jrspawn
Just got home from from florida. It was another great national trip. The track got pretty whooped out, but wasnt as bad as last year. The weather was sunny all weekend and HOT!!! Ill try to get some pics up on here tonight.

Yes I did go there. The tracks were actually in better shape than what I have saw them before. There have been some more changes. It was a nice change of pace...Seaford was starting to be boring. You all ready for Budd's. The A class is going to be interesting this weekend...309 is going. It will hopefully be fun.

He told me he may being coming over for the national. When he found out it's 2 weeks away he didn't sound so sure then. If is comes it could be the first time he has been beaten by his own motor on a C-Dale. lol

It does get a little boring riding at the same track every weekend. I'm about as ready as I'll ever be. I'm having to make some last minute parts changes but it will be ready. At least I have a nice garage now to work in. So 309 is going to make an appearance. That's going to make for a great A class. I wish I could watch that one to see how it turns out but us B class guys will be out there with you.

Treake...I forgot to tell you. I doesn't look like there is a points race at The Landing on the 26th. Apparently quads are not part of the program. I am sure this will be cleared up this weekend.

Why does this not surprise me? If this is the case, the first 3 races are at Budds. Are you going to try and go to Actiontown? I think your Dad mentioned he was going to have the trailer but if you want to go, I'll work something out with you to help you out. We can talk about it this weekend.

I am not sure about Actiontown. That is to far away. I only plan a week ahead at the most. lol Thanks for the offer I will talk to you this weekend. How is bike #2 coming along?

I hear ya, one week at a time. It's a good track if you can make it. Let's see, bike #2, it seems to be more of a parts bike right now. LOL!!! It's sitting in Johnexrider's basement. Still waiting on some vital parts.

Actually, I have the Walsh stuff, it's the PEP's but I put them on hold because I'm thinking about getting the Fox airshox. I'm in negotiation.

I just got home from the new CT3 MOTORSPORTS. What a nice stepup. Trying to get 88 rolling on an A class machine. When I got hurt I thought well at least I have time to finish my project, that was wishfull thinking the day I told 88 to go ahead and ride it. I hope to be able to come up and watch the battle this weekend. It depends on an order from Elka if I go or not now.

Delaware152,
How are you feeling? Is your back still hurting? I sneezed yesterday morning and it almost put me on my knees. I'm assuming since you were riding like a mad man after your little come off you didn't get hurt. When you went by for a minute I thought someone installed reverse on my 450. LOL!!!
Posted by: Delaware152
I am pretty sore myself. If I move a certain way by back hurts bad...along with my left side that has a few bruises. I was riding like a mad man b/c that's what I was. The pain started to come back for the last lap and half. At least the bike was okay. Nothing broke or bent. You guys riding this weekend.

I need to try and ride like a mad man but I wasn't feeling it on Sunday. It is a good thing the bike was ok. There's nothing worse than an expensive come off. I don't plan on riding this weekend to give my back time to heal. I think we plan on working on the two other quads as well to try and get them going. My shocks should be here at the end of the week.
Posted by: Delaware152
I am waiting to see how I feel. You guys are going to the national right?

I plan on going to watch but not ride. I think that's John's plan as well. After my performance this past weekend, I don't think I could qualify for the peewee class.

All the track joking aside you guys did look good out there. Treake you maybe a little off your pace of normal but you did finish 3rd in the second vet moto. I couldn't even run 4 motos in one day so don't down yourself to much. To run half as fast as JT in two motos is an accomplishment in my books. Jt and Gil were smokin in both motos, and to see Gil pull a little distance in moto 2 was a shock to us. At least we know you are human, until your boondocker equiped C-dale crashed and recovered to destroy the Vet class. You guys get healed up, The Nats will be here soon. Jt what classes are you running this year?

That was my fault I tuned his dale a little right before the race(we were rushing to take it off the laptop)
Im going to come down on friday before the Nat and make sure his quads are setup right and we have some time to actually let him get a feeling for the new settings before letting him go out and race

D7...I don't know what I did but my back started hurting back in the 2nd A moto and that's when I backed off. I don't know if I was going to pass him but it was fun racing that close.
Treake....The ICY Hot patches with Aleve work well on the back. I am not sure what I am doing this weekend it depends on how I feel. Sometimes riding works the pain out.
Posted by: #88yfz
Well fellas i have have been down and out with the flue for 4 days not in such good shape.
No more negative talk on here all of u guys are good riders and will do fine at the nationals, that means u 2 #85PGREGG!!
Im going to get the 450r 2gether just n time i will be there n try my best 2 qualify and get ready for danville.
Posted by: treake
I forgot about the icy hot patches. I'm going to try and get some this evening and see if that helps. I'm starting to try and stretch a little to see if that helps work it out. I'm definitely taking this weekend off from riding and johnexrider is still trying to repair his quad from where he got creamed from behind by someone that didn't know where their brakes were located so they used the back of his quad.

there seems to be a common theme here with the vet class riders and back pain. i will have to try the icy/hot patches and aleve too.

I've got just what you guys need to forget the back pain. These little white pills with M359 on them that will take that away. They will take worries away to and put a smile on your face to. It just takes a doctors visit or 5 to get them.
Posted by: jrspawn
LOL
And if you really want the pain to go away, chase them pills down with about 4 beer's.

I don't think you need to drink anything with what I got.
Paul I highly doubt you are as slow as you might be feeling at the moment. How do you think these pro-am riders feel not qualifying for pro class this year. Pro am and A at the nats are fast as h3ll. You belong up there, you just need to get back on that bike and ride. Remeber you have a big cheering section that will cheer no matter how your doing. I do hope to see you and JT battling for the lead in pro-am.
Posted by: Delaware152
I can make a safe bet you won't my myself and Paul battling for the lead in Pro-Am...I am all but certain I am not racing it this year. I would probably run Unlimited on Sunday but I want to race 2 other classes also. I know there is no way I can race 4 motos on Sunday with 2 of them Pro Am. I don't like the new format. The only people it helps are the Pros. Look at the guys in there on Sat. Then on Sunday you have the six or eight that didn't qualify for the pro class. The only way it could help is if you are only racing both Pro Am's...I don't think I have that in me.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Yeah 4 motos would wear the best of them out. It sucks to hear that you will not be running it this year. With good track conditions I would like to see how the 2 of you would do. Last year the track sucked and both of ya'll did great.
Is Gil running anything at Budds?

Hey to all you MD guys and gals. Im out here in the western part of the state. Just thought Id let ya know bout some riding out this way. There is a couple guys out here with tracks. My cousin is an amateur MX rider and has a full track at his house that is wicked. Chad Wages #444. He told me I can come over anytime and ride with some buddies. Also one of my buddies and me built a small track in a field of his dads. About a dozen or more of us ride down there every sunday. Hillclimbs, track with a table top and a couple doubles. Some muddy areas, and dragway over 1/3mile. Also right across the West Va state line, goin 81 south, there is a town called Falling Waters. If you get off at the exit, hang a left, go back under 81 and down on the left about 1/2 mile or so there is a place called Sportsmans Paradise. All kinds of riding back in there. ITs right down by the potomac. You can ride the train track trails, or ride the MX track. ACross the street is my other cousins house, we have built a track around the outside of his property with some whoops, a coupel doubles, singles, and a massive tabletop. Also out in the western part of the state there is some good riding in the mountains in state parks. Me and a buddy are planning a ride out there sometime end spring early summer or late summer early fall. Anyone that is interested let me know

Mos300ex where are you located in Middletown??? My buddy I ride with lives on Old Hagerstown Road between Middletown and Myersville. I live in Frederick over by the MVA. We've been looking for something a little closer to home lately. Drop me a line sometime.
Posted by: MOS300ex
Hey man I live right off Picnic Woods Road, on Hunt Valley Court. I ride right off of Rt 17 down right as u cross the bridge comin outta middletown on the left. We ride almost every sunday. Small track down by the way creek, some hill climbs, and a dragway. There is a couple other places around the area but I dont know the people who ride. Alot of high school kids. they are pretty much all that i ride with. Plus I go up to Falling Waters, WV and ride at my cousins house cuz he has some good wooded trails and a track around the outside of his yard.
Posted by: 06wolverine
i live just outside of baltimore, not many places to ride close. trying to find more places to ride, any help out there? i've gone to breezewood and loved it, but my wolvy isn't really a track bike. my friend took me to a place in laurel a couple weeks ago, we heard about people getting robbed for their bikes at gun point, so i'm not keen on going back.

Mafia members...How is Shupe doing? He was packed up and gone by the time I was able to walk over in his direction. I hope it's not bad but from what I heard he is probably out 8 weeks.
Posted by: treake
We are taking this weekend off. We need a break from all the driving. I need to come up there and get you to push me around the track sometime so I pick the pace up but that bridge traffic blows. Are you still planning on going to Rocket? John and I will be there for sure.

If your interested, I have a friend that has an 04 450r with Elka long travel front and rear. It has hardly been ridden. He's selling because he prefers his Laeger.
Delaware152,
John talked with Cliff today who said that Shupe has to have surgery on his left knee and broke a bone in his right ankle. If that's the case, he will be out a while. I didn't realize it was that bad.

I have a full Walsh/PEP YFZ450 that is for sale.
Posted by: 250rmike
how much do you want for it? im looking for something under 5 grand
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Under 5K, I don't believe Paul will even respond to that.
What Treake said is true, Nick has to wait for the swelling to go down before they will even put a cast on his ankle. His knee turn out is actually more or less just reflammed from a crash at action town last year. That looks like It could be a worse case scenerio, Probally knee surgery.
I really have the erge to ride again, but not to sure if my shoulder can take it, so I have to play it safe. How many one armed mechanics do you see making any money?
Posted by: 250rmike
yea i figured that i just dont have the money for an expensive quad right now or i would build my own. sucks having your race bike stolen. granted that was over a year ago but hey time heals all wounds right
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Maybe heals wounds, but a stolen quad has to give one seriously bad taste. Keep a lookout and you may find a good deal on a descent 450, I just don't think you'll find any full mx ready quads. I've heard of yfz's in close to stock form going for 3500. Thats not a bad start.
Posted by: 250rmike
im talking to a guy now with a long travel hybrid for 4300 so im gonna go with that. if i didnt get this deal i was gonna go with a another cdale. i have found several with lt for under 4g's

Hey Nick I figure it's a little better to chat on this thread. How's the knee and ankle? Danny had told me possibly 2 surgeries on the knee. What a down and out year it has been for alot of us D7 guys. We need to get Jeremy to make a cripple class at Budds on the dirt track. Paul, Cliff, You, me, and whoever else is down on their luck this year.
Posted by: Nick shupe
yep we'll call it the crip class being we do know a couple of people that have eight it hard I got a torn ACL i'll be out 9-12 mouths sucks big time
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Yeah that does suck. It does go by pretty quick. I have been off for 6 months to the day. Well I went and pulled a few holeshots at my inlaws today. Also Nick got to ride for a little while to.

I am off of the injured reserved list finally. Yesterday was the first day back at the track. Man am I out of shape.
Nick, I hope everything goes well with you. How long before you will be able to walk?

Add another to the list, I got the results from my MRI today and I've got a torn ACL and fractured femur after a hard landing at BPG a few weeks ago. I meet with another doctor on Friday to discuss surgery, etc.
Although, I'm already a member of the FNF team from not riding all season after we had our twins.
Posted by: Nick shupe
Yep we've got another one to add to our list. I hate to hear that ESrider I feel you're pain all besides that fractured femur I don't want to feel that pain
Posted by: ESrider
Thanks Shupe.
Luckily, it was just a fracture and the bone is still in one piece. So, they said it should heal without any problems.

Posted by: Nick shupe
Yep, the mafia will be back in full force sometime next year. I'm not sure when though
Posted by: Delaware152
Have you had surgury yet?
Posted by: Nick shupe
Yep, I had surgury the 28th of Sep. It will be Two weeks tomorrow. I went to my frist physical therapy appointment today and they gave me some exersize's to do and said that everything is looking good so far and it feels good to I just have to really take my time with this one though, the doc told me no running for six mouths so I'm hoping to be back there within 6 to 8 mouths.
Posted by: Nick shupe
JT, congratulations on you're D-7 championchip for this year that's awasome man.
Posted by: Dupontster
I think JT should help you out with some of the bills....
1) You were chasing him..
2) It did happen in his back yard..
3) He didn't even stop to see if you were OK..

That's good to hear. I have been there before you have to take it easy. I broke my wrist in 97 and was basically done racing for the season. I starting riding about 5 months later but didn't race much. I actually had good luck this year and my bike stayed together most of the time. I think next year the A class is going to be larger.

no one has to pay for the bills but me, even though I did do it in you're back yard. I think you're write about A class next year there is deff. going to be a couple more people on the gate. I'd say within the next 2 years D-7 A class will be a full gate if not real close.

Hey Shupe,
How's therapy goin? I'm in my last few weeks now and supposed to get fitted for the mx brace next month. Hopefully I'll be able to get it back in shape enough to start again in March. Good luck!
Mike
Posted by: Nick shupe
ESrider,
The physical therapy is going real good the therapist said my knee is coming along real good I go back Tuesday for my second appointment. Let me ask you a question when you say that you're getting fitted for a brace is you're doctor prescribing the brace because I was going to ask my doctor if she proscribe me a real good knee brace so that the insurance would pay for it. I just don't know if they do that because I have an HMO kaiser and they are cheep.
Posted by: Dupontster
Hey Nick...Sorry to change the subject but what happened Sat night at Millers...Did the track manager win again?
Posted by: ESrider
Definitely ask your doctor about a brace, my doctor is prescribing mine, but he doesn't actually handle it himself. The orthopedic center where I go has a doctor that handles all of the brace fittings. I asked for the same reason as you, I wanted my insurance to pay for it if possible and they will as long as it's a prescribed brace. I'm lucky my doctor deals with CTi. If you don't have any luck let me know and I'll get you the name of my doctor and the one that takes care of all the braces.

Is anybody going to Budds this weekend?
Posted by: Dupontster
Yep here....Friday, Sat, and Sun. hopefully..
Posted by: Delaware152
Do you know of anybody going in the A class?
Posted by: Dupontster
Not right off hand but I'll try to contact Kyle and some others and see and I'll get back here this afternoon...Probably going to be a fair turnout....Hard to say though...Not sure when the "B" guys will be steppin up...We're going to "B" this weekend...Prbbably get the arse kicked all over the track...Did a new front end and having a little trouble getting dialed in...
Nick might know but he's probably watching his soaps about now...
Posted by: Nick shupe
I don't know who is going to be up there this weekend I don't know if Ian is working but if he's off I would bet he'd be up there. Man you guys messed it sat. night Ian slammed into the back of Aj in the second moto on the frist lap, Ian got his quad free from Aj and took off Aj on the other hand couldn't get his quad started so he had to push start it. Ian didn't slam into the back of him om purpose Aj just brake cheak him when he new that Ian was write on his grab bar. Aj got last but his buddy # 4 took the win and Danny beat a built YFZ and a LTR to the frist turn in the frist moto witch was awasome, other than that it was a nice night.
Posted by: JRP
ill be there saturday and sunday, hopefully ill do alright

Let me start by saying I was down in Tapp. when the deal went down I had nothing to do with the purchase of this one this is pops bike my backup backup if need be. It's a 05' Walsh frame, subframe, freash powdercoat, custom axis suspension,Walsh swing arm, air box, walsh steering stem, Walsh raditor, and Walsh plus 3 A-arms and it's all in great condtion to which is awesome. But like I said this pops quad I still have to build my other Lonestar baja bike which will be in the works hear soon.
Posted by: Dupontster
O Oh. I cant wait to see your bike and ur pops. I got mine all done about three weeks ago but we had some front end problems so now Im waiting on all new suspension front/back. Nick are you gonna be at the first D7 race at budds?

If the C-Dales sell but that is a BIG if. You would think somebody out there would pay $4000 for them. If they sell I am switching if not it's not the end of the world.

You weren't supposed to tell anybody.

Thers all kind of white quads out there!
Posted by: Delaware152
You don't have to spend the same amount of money on aftermarket parts to set it up as to what the bike costs new.

If your going with Suzuki, get the yellow and blue.

That's right. If your going to ride a Suzuki, It should be the Suzuki colors. Be proud of what your riding. Ha!Ha! Actually, I just think it looks better for some reason. Maybe it's because there are so many white ones out there.
Posted by: Delaware152
I guess since I still ride a C-Dale I shouldn't care what color Suzuki I ride.lol
Posted by: treake
We can always just put the Suzuki plastic on the Dale. That way, appearance wise, you are riding a different bike. Ha!Ha!
Posted by: quad71
dont forget about orange i cant wait for the KTM may want to hold off jt.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Come on now. I know this is all just a front. The real scoop is that since you had all that glory back in the day you are actually switching back up to the green. Some of the same features as the dale, Aluminum frame, 450.lol
Bad news for all A riders is that new quads = no hopes on quad breaking down for 152. Sounds like alot of practice is in the winter off season.
Posted by: Pappy
The KTM may be the next quad I buy for myself, looks like I have a little over a year to save up
By that time the LTR will fade, the new Kawi will have shown to be weak in the back bone
and I will atleast look good until the gate drops
