anyone riding seaford on sunday?
Posted by: treake
Johnexrider, I might be with a buddy we Turbo, but you probably already know that. LOL!!!
Delaware152,
You plan on being at Seaford on Sunday?
Posted by: Delaware152
Probably not going to be open. The ground is white and more is expected on Friday.
Posted by: treake
Well that sucks!!! I hate snow.
Posted by: treake
Keep us posted. Maybe we will get lucky and the snow will by pass us. Did a group of quad guys show up this past Sunday?
Posted by: JRP

Yeah. There were actually quite a few from what I heard but it was VERY muddy. It wasn't until the third session before the double double was jumped. You can imagine how much fun it was riding in that crap.
Posted by: treake
Wet soupy sand. I'm sorry I missed that. No double double until the third session!!! Did you put your cross country tires on? LOL!!!
Posted by: Delaware152
No way. I didn't even go b/c I was sure it would be muddy. Gil said some people were saying to call me but he told them it was a waste of time b/c I would ride in the mud anyway. Gil said they were washing radiators after each session and there were lots of steam. I know of at least one motor that quit.
Posted by: 400lighted
I know that my Cannondale wasnt one of the motors that quit(damn yamahas) It was bad but still rideable obviusly. The cool thing was that we had around 10 quads there which there were more then bikes. To name a few who went, Gill Attix, Jason Dunk, Jason Musser, Nick Gadaleta(me), Matt Estep, Justin Reed, Jay Mcarthy, jeff #80 pro am?, keith on a cannondale, and a few others. Probably the last time to ride until after Christmas so I'm not complaing. Later, Nick(#101 Cannondale Fat Kid)

SNOW!!!
How much did everyone get and where are you? We got 3-4" in Harford County, MD. Enough for me to ride the roads before work this morning.
Seatec, Did you see my tracks in your court???
Posted by: JRP
we only got 2inches of snow mixed in with some ice! then this past monday we got a fresh 7inches of snow.
Posted by: treake
Delaware152,
How's it looking your way? Any chance the track will be ready to go by Sunday? I know it's wishful thinking but I thought I would ask.
Posted by: Delaware152
It looks like a slight maybe. I will try to stop by tomorrow and call Paul and let him know.
Posted by: treake
That sounds good. I'll take a slight maybe over not at all.
Posted by: Delaware152
It changed over to rain this morning so most of the snow is gone. The sun finally came out and I think it is actually supposed to warm up Sat and Sun to 45. I would like to get one last ride in this year. I keep you updated.
Posted by: treake
It's sounding better. Can you relay the info through #85? One of these times I will get your number so we can cut out the middle man. LOL!!
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Hey guys. For those of you that didn't already know, Cliff went under the knife today. He will return a Bionic man with a rod in his leg. If your not busy sometime next week give him a call to keep his spirits up. He was getting into a good groove winning his first A class race and he broke his leg. Most of ya'll that know who I am talking about already have his # but if you don't I'll PM you it. Just don't call saturday because he is still in the hospital.
Just tell him another banquet story, or pukefest 05 as I hear.
Posted by: TWISTED
What happened???? i haven't talked to him in a good while..
Posted by: Delaware152
I will give him a call and give him a hard time. Tell him the Budd's National is early this year so he better get ready. lol Twisted...From what I heard he landed short on a tabletop at Elizabeth City last Sat. He didn't crash and has landed harder but I guess he hit just right and it was pretty bad. I know Terry can fill you in but this way you have an idea.
Posted by: TWISTED
Thanks. What a bummer for the holidays. Crutches are a ***** in the snow!!!
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
He came up short on a double that he was over jumping in other attempts. Just cased it and felt his leg pop.
Posted by: jrspawn
Well, finally got my new quad, from what time ive gotten on it, i love it, handles better tha anything else ive ever rode.

I'm planning on hitting Blue Diamond on Sunday.
Posted by: treake
Delaware152,
Anyway you can talk the owner of Seaford into opening on Sunday. It's been so long since I've ridden I will have to teach myself the basics all over again.
Posted by: kwatts400
How was everyones holidays? I haven't been on in a while, just seeing how everyone is doing.

Any of you D-7 HS racers looked at the 06 cchedule? We have a whole 8 races this year (5 being at Budds). Looks like they have added the Wisp GNCC as a points race. I hope they are going to add a few more races considering they had 13 last year. None of the Foot of the Mountain races are for points. Anyways just thought I'd share the good news.
Posted by: RUTHLESS
D7 IS A JOKE, I HAVE ALREADY POSTED BEFORE CONCERNING THE LACK OF SUPPORT FOR QUADS HS AND THIS JUST BACKS UP THAT FACT, BTW RACING A HS AT BUDDS IS LIKE DATING A FAT GIRL, FUN UNTIL YOUR FRIENDS FIND OUT!!!
Posted by: FasterBlaster#4
Well hello boys, nice to see everyone on the old exriders, its been a while. Looks like everyone is doing alright. I hope cliff pulls through without to many problems, thats a bummer. Hey #85 that garage done yet?!
Hopefully we get some decent weather soon, it would be nice to get back on the bike

FasterBlaster#4,

fasterblaster.......who's this ,sykesville
I'm right at 32 and 26
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
#4 It's nice to see your paying a little attention to the forums. I agree with Treake, we thought you were gone. Now all we need is a little response from 187 and it'll be like the old days. Cliff is doing better, but thats not saying much he'll be off the quad for a year. Any one going to the Hangover on the 8th? Budds web page has MX race posted.
Posted by: Yfz450dan
Is any body going to be racing at budds creek next week,Jan. 8,might be heading down there?

It looks like we will have to hit the D-6 races or the atlantic Grand Prix series
Budds might get a little boring after 5 races.
Posted by: Pappy
yeah, lol, and according to D7 they have the best series ever..lol
www.koontzadventures.com
this is where we will be racing, with apromotor looking to have a kickazz season

What do i need to get started on racing ckecked this web sitewww.koontzadventures.com but didn't say what i need?
Posted by: Pappy
they run a XC and MX series. no district card required, a $10 Koontz card is tho. Payout is very good for an Outlaw series and a lot of top XC riders hone thier skills there. it may be a bit far west and south for some of the eastern shore fellers, but they have a few races that are good enough and close enough that they should try to make it!
Posted by: Yfz450dan
Thanks, good thing i live in Fredrick MD hopefully the races are not to far from there,i will prbly race XC,Which is a good class for me to start in. it is my fist time racing?

I raced a few of the Koontz races last year and the tracks and promoter were top notch. I'll definitely be at a lot of the closer ones. From what I have seen they are the next best thing to a GNCC.

Anybody going to Budd's this weekend? I may have to go knock off some rust!!

If you are referring to #171, I know he just bought a brand new CRF250. He might be switching to the dark side.
Posted by: diangelo#67
oh no, we must entervein s/p? yeah if anybody talks to him see what he's doing with it thanks for the info
Posted by: dopeyferree
I will be there but I will be on the XC Course.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Ian's 450 is getting ready for a rebuild. Not selling any time soon. He bought the bike just to help him train and not wear out his quad.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
The thought is there. From tonight's phone call it seems most of the Mafia's quads are apart. But I did that last year, so I wanna ride. I might be able to drag at least one more member with me possibly Brian. Cliff is out. Ian, Nick, Danny, all are in tear down. And not to sure about the others at the moment.

Fasterblaster#4,
Thanks for letting me baby sit your bike. And take it to Budds this weekend hopefully. It looks really good expecially when it is cleaned up and had a lil TLC also, I blew up the pressure washer trying to get the dust off.

Looks like I am going to Budd's. I don't know of anybody going to Seaford. You going to Budd's also?
Posted by: predator dad
Is Seaford open? I heard they were closed for the winter.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
I am going to sit this one out. Ian plans on racing, he gave me the call tonight.
I had already planned on taking the boy to go ride the Kasea.
Posted by: treake
Delaware152,
John and I went to Seaford. There were a good amount of quads there and the track was in good shape. The only quad, besides John and myself that was running in the A/B practice was Jeff Thompson. Everything was going good until I got bucked in the last session. Fortunately, I was ok, but the quad did sustain some damage.
Posted by: musser52
Anyone coming to seaford this weekend
Posted by: predator dad
I've never riden at Seaford. My son has raced his KTM 65 there. How does it work? I live in Rehoboth Beach, so Seaford is close. Are they open on Saturday and Sunday?
Posted by: treake
There's a chance my buddy and I will make a return this weekend. It depends on if I'm able to get my quad fixed and the weather.
Seaford typically only has practice on Sundays.
Posted by: Delaware152
Seaford is open 11-4 on Sunday's. Treake...I plan on being there this weekend if the weather is good. Maybe I will see you.
Posted by: treake
Delaware152,
Keep me posted on how things look because we would like to ride if the weather permits.
Posted by: predator dad
How do they run the practice? Do they let each class have a time limit? I ride an 06 YFZ 450 but not that experienced. My son rides a tricked out Predator 90. What class would we ride in?

The classes usually run A/B, C, and youth. They are usually are 15- 20 minute sessions. There may be a seperate quad class depending on the amount of quads that show up
Posted by: predator dad
Cool. Won't be there this Sunday. Might be at The Landing in Easton on Saturday though.
Posted by: jrspawn
Anyone riding tomorrow? Im planning on probably going to seaford, should be the least muddy of any tracks around, hopefully its not too bad though.
Justin

Hey all.. I'm looking for places to Trail Ride! I live in Towson (just north of Baltimore) and have been reading through this thread. What places do you guys recommend nearby?
I usually just ride in VA at a friends property and every once in a while on a friends property in northern Baltimore County.
But I'm lookin for more places and people to ride with!
I've also been meaning to get down to Dirt First, is it mostly motorcycle people/stuff there or quads too?
shoot me an email if your nearby and want to ride: vudean @ comcast . net (just take out the spaces)
I'll go to Delaware too, I'm always there for my job, or PA...
Posted by: vudean
Oh by the way, I'm also a semi-professional photographer, so if we ever ride together I'd love to take some pics, and of course, share them with ya.
Posted by: dopeyferree
Dirt First is owned by Andy Lagzdins PRO ATV GNCC Racer. I am sure they have a few things for the atvs.
Posted by: vudean
Thanks Dopee - then I better get over there sometime
I see your in Fredrickburg, I got family down there, you ride anywhere around there?
Posted by: dopeyferree
I have a couple places but they are on friends property. There is really no where public to ride within a couple hours of here.
Posted by: musser52
Seaford was open this weekend with a couple of atvs where was everyone
Posted by: predator dad
I figured it would be closed. I'm going to Blue Diamond this Sunday.
Posted by: musser52
Hopefully, Seaford will be open this weekend if theres good weather. Since the track was looking good this past weekend but a little rough from what I saw. Since I didnt ride because both bikes were striped and I went to East Coast Atv to get parts
Posted by: Delaware152
Anybody going to Seaford this Sunday? The weather is looking better all the time. Last weekend the track was not muddy at all but was really rough. I was told there were about 175 people there so that might have had something to do with it.
Posted by: jrspawn
I should be there again sunday. With the weather still being decent, im gona end up going to blue diamond saturday, and seaford sunday. Whens the next Budds race? I remember someone saying theres gonna be like 4 in a row or something there?
Justin
Posted by: Delaware152
Budd's is racing every weekend in Feb. weather permitting. I may go to one of them but I will be at Seaford every weekend weather permitting. Hopefully this weekend there will be a few more people there. I know of a few that are putting things back together and hoping to ride this weekend.
Treake...Where are you going this weekend. With all the riding you have been doing you are probably heading to CA.
Posted by: treake
John and I are talking about going to Breezewood on Saturday. That is if they don't get any snow this week. I haven't ridden as much as I would like. We went to Henderson, NC last weekend because it was supposed to be nice for the first part of the day and as soon as we hit the track, it started raining and never stopped. We did 4 laps, loaded up and came home. If I went to Cali, it would be to help out a couple of other guys we know and to enjoy the night life. I think we are going to try and hit one of the Budds races in Feb as well. Delaware152, are you thinking about running D7 this year or just scattered races?
Posted by: pgregg85
It was snowing my way this morning so I am sure Breezewood is not looking good for the weekend.
Posted by: Delaware152
Treake...You guys should have went to Seaford last weekend. It was a nice day for Jan and the track was not muddy. I am not sure about the schedule yet...I try not to plan alot b/c that is when things change. I know I am only going to the Budd's national unless something big changes. lol Maybe I will see you this weekend.
Posted by: kwatts400
Hey Justin, I think I passed you at the car wash in Smyrna last Sat. washing your bike. I was on my way to check out my new house.

#85 I heard it was snowing some up in your direction. I guess it's wishful thinking. Delaware152, I wanted to ride on Saturday so I could watch the Steelers game on Sunday. At least they won so it was some what worth not riding Sunday. It shows rain for Sunday up there right now but it could change at any given time. He should open Saturday, it's going to be really nice. Jeremy said the schedule should be out by the end of the week. I can see where it would be hard for you to plan with the little one and all. Hopefully we will have better weather this year for the Budds national.
Posted by: Delaware152
The Super Bowl is next weekend. The forecast is rain late in the day and 50. Hopefully that means rain after 4.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
Treake do you have both bikes together yet? Just wondering.
Posted by: treake
The superbowl is next weekend. Go Steelers!!! We are keeping an eye on the rain. We haven't made a decision where we are going but we want to ride. Hopefully it will work out this weekend.
I don't have both together. Actually, I have an expensive parts bike sitting over in my buddies basement. I had to rob a subframe off of it because of my little come off at Seaford a couple of weeks ago. I'm not in a big rush on this one. I'm trying to spread out the cost a little. Selling my 400 definitely helped though. You need to get well soon so we can get you back out on the track. I was hoping to do some racing with you this year. You know, us old guys at the back of the pack while the young guns battle out front.
Posted by: D-7#61-450r
It sounds to me like when I'm racing again I'll be the young guy!! I'll be a 30+ rider. Vet class here i come.2007
Posted by: treake
Come on into the Vet class. The Vet class is shaping up to be a good one. Jamie can race the vet class this year if he does any races.
Posted by: musser52
For Sunday it is saying on about 30% chance and high of 54'
In the seaford area

Yeah me to John. As long as you don't step it up like Treake has I hope to be back in a year. Its always great to know the people you are racing will race you clean. This little delema I have going on makes me think to much at the moment. I guess being knocked out 2 times in 8 months will do that to you. The hole jumping thing will scare me for awhile.
Posted by: treake
Hey Terry,
Don't let John fool you. He's stepped it up. Rumor has it, he's going to be putting some patented Sean Ladue passes on people this year. Ha!Ha! As far as I'm concerned with stepping it up, I might have to drop back a class to freshen up on skills before racing with the big boys in B class. The sad thing is, going to the Vet class won't help because then I will get the patented pass put on me by Mr Ladue himself. Take your time and heal up completely before coming back out. You have plenty of time. We do need another old person in the B class. Those young guys are fast and have no fear.

Treake, thats funny I don't care who you are. Well you guys won't miss out on seeing the crips (Cliff and I) will be track side cheering on 88 and a few others at times. I've got control of the pit board this year.lol Just try and not fall off laughing at my coments when passing me.
Posted by: johnexrider
how much snow did you get out there delaware152, any chances of riding this weekend? it is supposed to warm up for the rest of the week.
Posted by: Delaware152
Most of the snow is gone. What little is left will definately be gone by the weekend. It's supposed to be around 60 until the weekend then drop down to 40.
Posted by: johnexrider
are you planning on riding this weekend? treake and i are starting to get cabin fever with not having riden the last couple of weekends.
Posted by: Delaware152
I know how you feel. I have been lucky. I missed last weekend but I was able to ride for three weeks straight before that. I am not sure about this weekend. They keep changing the forecast. Now it looks like 35 but sunny on Sunday...all depends on how much it rains on Friday. I don't care about 35 it's Feb. but I am not going to be cold and wet. I will keep you updated or Treake can call Paul.

Justin

Don't worry about 88 being cold. Ever since I gave him a green light he has been on fire. I want him to ride just to calm him down a little bit. Just don't push him to hard his first ride out, he's still on my baby. But make sure he is sore the next day from riding his tail off. I want reports he better not have his panties on.
Posted by: #88yfz
Don't worry #61 i won't wear panties but i do want 2 get n shape and its looking good 4 sunday as of now!
Posted by: Delaware152
I am sure there are going to be enough people there that it won't be a problem to be pushed around the track. If your not sore a few days later it's your own fault.
Posted by: #88yfz
what does it cost 2 practice del152?
Posted by: #88yfz
Anybody no if seaford is still open 2marrow im heading that way
Posted by: johnexrider
it's either $20 or $25 i can't remeber which. i haven't heard that it has been cancelled treake and i are heading that way too.
Posted by: ESrider
It's $20.00 to practice, plus a $5.00 gate fee. I haven't heard that practice is cancelled either. It was supposed to rain here today, but we got about a half inch of snow instead, so that shouldn't affect the track any. Hopefully, Ill be able to make it there tomorrow.
Posted by: #88yfz
me n shupe r leaving around 7am what time is practice start?
Posted by: ESrider
I think it's 11:00, but it might be 10:00.
Posted by: Delaware152
88...Practice starts at 11. 85 is not going to make it but Gil and Lamborn said they are going.
Esrider...Do you live in Federalsburg? That is where I live. If you are at Seaford tomorrow stop by. 152 on a C-Dale.
Posted by: ESrider
Hey JT,
It's #204 I'm usually around with Honda5. I didn't know you lived in F'town, for some reason I thought you were in Easton. Hopefully I'll see you tomorrow.
Posted by: musser52
Anyone coming over or down to seaford this weekend. It is as of right now supposed to be cloudy and mid to high 30s for sunday
Posted by: jrspawn
I should be down there sunday, hopefully its not as bad as last sunday.
Justin
Posted by: #88yfz
I dont think it can be any colder than last weekend!
Posted by: jrspawn
Yeah, i dont think it gets any colder, think it could be any rougher too?
Justin
Posted by: Delaware152
88...You guys heading to Seaford this weekend.
Justin...Rough is good...it gets you in shape!!!
Posted by: treake
Rough is good as long as the jumps are faced properly. It gets you in shape and it will help set you apart from the other riders. The way Delaware152 goes around that track, you would think there weren't any bumps at all. Having him push me around the track helps. The problem is, he passes me to quick and I have to wait for him to come back around to lap me before he pushes me again. LOL!!!
Posted by: jrspawn
In shape.... Whats that mean?
Im about as far from that as i can get unfortunetly right now
But i better step it up a notch very quick, we are leaving for florida in just a few weeks.
Going to possiblly pick up another walsh YZ quad tonight, found one for a pretty good deal, hopefully its not a pile of junk

Wait to lap you!!! I know you are just sandbagging trying to make it look that way. Are you going to get down here Sunday? Any new parts show up yet?
Posted by: ESrider
How was the track last weekend?
Posted by: jrspawn
Hey, TWISTED, def. need a bigger garage, no more room!!!!! Just got home from picking up the other walsh, alot farther away then i thought. Quad is in perfect mint condition, and i got a boat load of extras with it, cant wait to try this one out now
Just heard the forecast for sunday, sounds like its gonna be a little warmer then expected.

I really wish I could say I was sandbagging but we know that's as far from the truth you can get. When you went by me twice, I had to think for a second if my 450r somehow or another had reverse. Ha!Ha! I was supposed to move into the new house this weekend but the closing got pushed back until next weekend. I think John and I are going to try Elizabeth City on Saturday. It's supposed to be pretty nice there. I did receive some new parts this week and there is more to come.
Posted by: #88yfz
Not sure what direction im heding n yet del152 either elizabeth city or seaford?I do know shupe is comind to seaford and i may come 2 just not sure yet
Posted by: treake
We are now up in the air about where we are going as well. It appears it's going to be a game time decision. It's a shame he won't open the track tomorrow for practice. It's supposed to be much warmer.
Posted by: Delaware152
Warmer. It's Feb. If you ride hard enough you will get warm. lol
Posted by: #88yfz
It looks like seaford for the fredericksburg guys on sunday.
Posted by: treake
I tried riding harder to get warm but the wind you created when you blew by me was too much to handle. LOL!!!
Posted by: predator dad
What time does everyone show up at Seaford? I might come check it out. I won't be riding, I'd just like to see how it is. After I get my new front end and rear axle I'll be up for it. Everything's on order so It'll be about 3 weeks.
Posted by: #88yfz
around 11 am is when practice starts
Posted by: JRP
did anyone go to Elizabeth City today, if so how was the racing? Oh and also, how far is Seaford from fredericksburg, and do they have a website? thanks

Ah Jeez!!! That's funny. I'm going to let #74 know he better start training his kid now. We could have the first race on the power wheels. LOL!!! That would be funny.

The weather is looking much better this weekend. The forecast is sunny and mid 40's. That will be nice compared to the last two weeeks. Maybe I will see you guys this weekend.
My daughter is still practicing. She is only 18 months so we are working on the steering. She is always looking at magazines and taking notes. lol
Posted by: predator dad
This Sunday is the race at Blue Diamond. Anyone going?
Posted by: Honda5

After your comment, it's going to be in the 40's and sunny, what do you think I'm going to be doing. Maybe you will see us there. Are you back peddling now? Ha!Ha!
Posted by: predator dad
Yes they are racing quads. It's the Delamarva Series.
Posted by: #88yfz
I will b there n with a special guest appearance from #32 butler hes ready 2 return!
Del152 my girl is 2 and half now she runs it n high gear everywhere!
Posted by: Honda5
Who did you speak with that told you that they were racing quads on Sunday? The manager of Blue Diamond said there would be NO QUADS racing at his track for Delmarva Series.
Posted by: predator dad
I guy I work with said his son was racing there this weekend. He rides at Seaford all the time. I will be there but my son races a KTM 65 bike. So I didn't actually talk to anyone at Blue Diamond. If they won't let quads race even though they're in the series that sucks.

Is everyone coming back down to Seaford this weekend
