sORRY DEL THE DOVER RACE IS THIS WEEKEND CANT FIGHT THE THE TRAFFIC ON THE BRIDGE HAVE TO STAY LOCAL.
tWISTED WHERE R U RIDING THIS WEEKEND?

Posted by: TWISTED

Looks like we're headed back to Essex Co. on Sun.

Posted by: #88yfz

twisted were in essex r u going. I think june 11 were racing at action town.

Posted by: Scottie Mac

Payouts are as followed:

1-7 riders:

1st= $70
2nd= $45
3rd= $35

8-10 Riders:
1st= $200
2nd= $140
3rd= $100

11 or more Riders:
1st= $240
2nd= $275
3rd= $135

To get a payout for the 8 riders and above, there must be that many riders who ENTER A RACE, not just practice. If we end up with more than 10 riders, more than likely I will split the class into heats, an LCQ and a main to get the startign gate to 8 PRO riders. As long as 10 or more make it to the heats, the payouts will remain. I can fit a few more on the starting gate, but I like the idea of 8 riders at once because it give you guys a chance to spread out and there is less a chance of lappers coming into the equation.

By the way, we had 13 Novice ATVs this past weekend. The future looks bright!

who all is going down to actiontown on the 11th? i will be down there racing B class. im also racing at seaford this sunday the 5th some of you should show up i need some people to race.. the B class turn out in delmarva sucks

Posted by: pgregg85

Scottie, you shouldn't let people just run practice on a race day. The guys that do that are just scoping the competition to see who is there and determine if they can win or not before they put the entry fee on the line. If they think they think they can't win then they won't race and that screws the whole payout system up. It's messed up but some people are that way. This happened at the race I went to last year and it is probably the reason I won't go back. I am not trying to give you a hard time I just feel it would make things better and I know I am not the only one that feels this way on the issue.

Paul,

No offence, but that is NOT what happened at the race you came to last year. It had nothing to do with who was or wasn't entered. Some of you guys are VERY good riders, but you guys aren't scaring away the competition. One of the two guys who left blew his motor, the other is more interested in chasing snatch on a Saturday night than racing. And, every track in D13 allows people to pracitce on race day, whether they race or not.

The thing that gets me about you guys is this; people on this, and every forum for quads, always complains about how tracks treat quad riders like also-rans, red headed step children or second fiddle. No track would change their payout system to appease quad riders, BUT, we did. You guys complained that you didn't like that the top three all got the same amount. So, I changed it. You guys complained last year that the track was too tight for 11 quads. So, I changed the rules to make sure that their are no more than 8-9 quads on the line at a time. You guys complained that the triple should be changed. So, we added dirt to the landings of the double and the triple to make it more quad friendly. You guys said you wanted some decent payouts. So, I took all of the money we make on quads, and split it into the payout. we make NOTHING on Pro ATV, it is a 100% payback if we have at least 8-10 riders. Hell, I even gave you guys money out of my own pocket last year to clear up any mixups.

Next time you guys are at Budds, go to the owner of the track and tell him that you are disappointed with the payout, the track, the gate, etc.and see where it gets you. Not trying to start an argument, just trying to open up some eyes.

I hope you guys make it to a few of the races this year. If not, we will make do. the 50s, 65s, and 85cc mini bikes are what makes Miller's tick. Not the quads. And those minbike riders NEVER complain. They are happy to have a place to ride, especially a place that respects them and isn't there just to make a buck.

The Pro ATV riders who do show up will gladly take our money........ and be VERY thankful to get it.

To anyone who would like to have a great time and ride or race under the lights and in front of the grandstands, please give us a try. Ask anyone who has raced (apparently except for the pro ATV guys from MD) and they will tell you it is an awesome experience. We had a full gate in both novice and pro quad, and everyone was happy.

Sincerely,
Scott McKenna

Well, not so good of a weekend for me. Sunday at seaford i wrecked, not to bad of a wreck either, had worse anyways. But i guess the way my leg landed wasnt that great. After going to the hospital monday morning i found out that my heal bone is broke, ankle is broke(piece of bone acually separted) and tore i believe ligament/tendants in the ankle and hand. THIS SUCKS! Out of all that happening, im accually very lucky the doctors stated. My heal bone is aligned correct to heal correctly if will heal, if not i need pins. The ankle part and others will just take time to heal it self they said, so for 1 month im not aloud to have any preasure on my right foot. I was supposed to be racing the mt morris national and unadilla one also, but it doesnt look like im going to now. this will give me some time to get all my stuff for the new bike powdercoated and my shocks set up correctly though. So, hoping all goes well i should be back out on the track withing a couple months.

Justin

Where's everyone riding this weekend? If I don't find a race I might head up to Tomahawk one day. I think it is supposed to be nice.

Posted by: mxdad

None for us this weekend. I will be taking my son down to Budds to watch the bike nationals.

Posted by: kwatts400

I'll be riding at Silver Lake, MI this weekend. Leaving MD at about 630pm Wed. evening and should be there around noon Thursday. I'll be there till late Sunday afternoon, and I'll try to take alot of pics while I'm there.

I think I finally figured out the quote thing!
I may just ride our track at Ronny's sometime this weekend.

There is an AWRCS race in Indiana Pa. on the 19th. Doesn't look to be that far from you. On this side of Pittsburgh.

Looks like you guys did pretty well at Summersville. How was the heat? Probably beat the heck out of the last few mud fests' huh? Looks like you guys have some really fast "C" riders in your class. 2 of them were almost in the top ten overall. Dan should be especially happy with his overall. Was it hot sleeping?
We'll hook up before heading out to Wisp. Hopefully, I have better luck there this year. I'm due for some luck. I see Mike Young is doing well in my class. He got third at the Mountaineer. I'd never live it down from Ronny if Mike beat me

There is a Koontz race Saturday in Davis, Wv. Dan and I were actually thinking about going, but we'll have to see.

The heat in Summersville wasn't that bad. Dan did really well. I wrecked a few times but was happy I stayed on the lead lap. We had our ac cranking the night before so it was pretty nice in there. Definitely get in touch with us before Wisp.

Posted by: Pappy

the timberline race saturday is awesome. its the best practice for wisp! we will be getting there friday evening

Posted by: 400exvet

Sorry, that June 19th race in Indiana Pa. is an AWRCS. I was looking at the wrong schedule . Now I see the Koontz's Timberline Ski resort race on Saturday the 18th. You might as well make a weekend out of it and hit them both .
If Ronny sees that Timberline race, he will definately want to go there. I'm pretty sure they use to have GNCC's there years ago.

Yeah, you're not lying when you say there are some pretty fast "C" riders...it's good competition though. I think I lost a little steam on the last lap b/c the two "C" riders that past me were hauling *****. I think some of my problem is I get into a zone and don't push myself when nobody is around. I need to find someone to chase and stay behind them.

Looking forward to Wisp this weekend. Should be a good race and looks like the weather may cooperate, so far.

I think the membership allows you to ride for free. If you don't have a membership than you have to pay $35 to ride. At least that's how it was when they first opened.

Posted by: seatec

looks like a nice place to ride

Posted by: Honda5

Well from past experiences like Blue Diamond in New Castle DE, you have to pay $75.00 yearly and $25.00 for each time you ride there. With a family of four to ride and to take the camper to Breezewood, we would have to take out a loan to ride for the weekend. If anyone finds out any additional information on this please let us know. B

Posted by: kwatts400

I was just told that prices at Easton and Blue Diamond went up. Can anyone confirm this?

Posted by: ridered11

can anyone give me some information on easton i am going next weekend i just want to know what to expect

thanks

Posted by: Honda5

they have a race there on sunday, I like their tracks when they are groomed but they can be rough on a bad day.

Posted by: wvspeedfreak

CletusEX I sent you a PM.

Posted by: ridered11

quad race or dirtbike?

how many tracks do they have?

any trails?

I think cletusEX is right about the pricing but to verify or if you have any other questions, email Dan the owner.

breezewoodprovinggrounds@yahoo.com

Posted by: seatec

Those prices sure are going up.
A friend of mine and i decided to ride through some local woods oppose to going up to Rausch creek this weekend.
It would've cost him and his son a $100 just to get into the place.
(2 x $15 insurance + 2x $35). thats not counting diesel from Baltimore and food and tear off's. It's getting up there to ride around some fo these places. Tomahawak is still the cheapest for $25 a pop and they have a nice track when its groomed.

Not really complaining because i know the overhead these tracks have is very high but the prices are getting up. Makes me wonder sometimes if the joy justifies the cost.

Posted by: ESrider

According to their website Easton is $50.00 a day for non-members or $25.00 a day for members with a $50.00 annual membership fee, along with a $5.00 gate fee for non-riders. I've been thinking about going to Easton this Friday or Saturday, if anyone else is interested going, I hate to spend that much just to go by myself.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Hey Kenny are you all supposed to get all this rain tomorrow? Wonder if that will make the track a mess? Chad is usually good about getting the track back in shape. If I decide to race do I need to rig up some numbers on my fenders? Some ones gonna have to stand at the finish line and yell at me to get going when I stop to get scanned!

Any of you XC guys out there racing the D-7/D-5 race at North Hill in Oakland, Md on Sunday? I might try and hit that also.

Ron really wants to go to Oakland. I have not had time to look over my quad since wisp....so it really depends on what it needs and if I can get it ready in time for Sunday. That is such a long way to travel just for a D-7 race, but the XC racing bug might take over my sensible thinking...AGAIN and I'm sure Ron will be hounding me to go....so we'll probably be there.

Nick, Good luck Sat.at the MX race. Don't go too crazy on the jumps, save yourself and use most of your energy for really quick turns and getting up to speed ASAP on the straights. I have found at my MX ability level, I make better time on the ground....and it doesn't hurt as much if you make a little mistake or mis-judgement.

James, good luck to you too, if you go....which you should, since you do have a PASS . You better use them up when you get them......they will soon be harder to come by .
Later, Doug

Doug, it looks like Dan, James and myself will all be racing Oakland. The Oakland race is at 11:00, which makes getting home at a reasonable hour nice. Give me a call if you guys are heading up there.

Are you and the mafia coming to TMX saterday?

I know of 6 mafia members that will be there racing. Posible 2 others. 2 C riders 1 B rider and 3 A riders. There are a few guys on vacation this weekend. I know of 2 A guys and 1 B. I hope to see Del 152 out there this weekend, if he shows their might be a real good battle for first place in a class.
See ya'll this afternoon, Hope the track is in great shape for some quad racing.

Sorry I couldn't make it I just had way too many things going on. I really didn't decide not to go until Saturday afternoon, I even stayed up working on the quad until 1:30 Friday night( Sat. morning). I heard it was quite a turn out! How did you all do. I heard Ron got beat by Mike Young and then he locked his keys in his truck and couldn't get out of there until around 8:00pm, which would get hime home around 1:00am he was not HAPPY!

Maybe someday the district 7 rep will find the time to update the Quad Harescramble points and we can all see where we are. I know they are not counting the 4/3/05 Budds race and the 4/24/05 Rocket race has some incorrect results. But I guess they are what they are and he could atleast be courtious enough to post what he has.
I'm hoping to go to the next Rocket race in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, See y'all there! Later

Later

Doug,

You did not miss much. It was fun tight track, but passing was very difficult. I got a flat on the second lap and got to run Ron's "experimental" tire. Then on the last lap I clipped a tree and bent my axle, so it was an expensive weekend you me.

Later,

JP

Ridersville Cycle in Berkley Springs. We have bought quite a few 400exs and 450rs from there. $99 over there cost. If your looking for a 450r also try Criswell Powersports in Germantown Md. Someone was saying they had them there for $5900, but I'm not positive.

That sounds good to me, Im prolly gonna wait to see what the '06 has in store, Id hate to buy an '05 then the '06 come out and have all sorts more bells and whistles.

Jt Not sure on who is going to seaford next sunday. Cliff and I are going to OZ Fest, so I know we are not going. Nick Shoupe is gonna go and probally a couple others not sure who yet. It is not the same without 152 out there you may have enjoyed last weekends competition. Well I'll be coming up your way this weekend, going to Ocean City Md. I couldn't talk the wife into bringing the trailer so I could ride sunday.

Posted by: Delaware152

If you wanted to ride you can leave your trailer at my house so you don't have it in OC. Cliff has my # or he can get it from Paul.

Posted by: Prey

i ride in brandywine sometimes, belong to the southern maryland dirt riders and ride their track which is a few miles from my house in waldorf and race at budds creek, anyone else in this area?

not that i will be riding in the next 6 weeks (broken ankle) but in the future

i think next season i will try and make it to the landing a few times for the district 7 races in addition to a few more GNC's next year

Anyone going to the district 7 harescramble at Rocket Raceway this sunday? We'll be there. Hopefully they do a little better scoring this time still nice to have a little different track to go to. I wanted to make the race in Oakland, but 5 hours is just too far for a district race.

Nice new toy ya got there seatec! Does that thing have AC? Boy, do I remember the days of street bikes in 90 plus degree weather

Doug, Dan and I will be in the Outer Banks with the family this weekend and I don't think Brian and James will be there. My bike is actually in pieces. Pappy's got the frame, doing trans blue. It should look sweet. I'm getting some a-arms and nerf bars for it and most likely a cam. Good luck to you and Ron this weekend.

Seatec, that is a nice looking machine. You ever had a bike before?

ATVriders.com Group Ride August 19-21st, Rausch Creek

I will be publicly announcing this news to everyone on the site, but since I am a Maryland resident myself, I figured I would give you loyal guys the news first.

The normal fee to ride at Rausch Creek is $35/day and a one time membership fee of $15, and I am working on a discount for members for that weekend of probably $30/day or less if possible.

I do have a limited supply of Rausch Creek passes that I will make availabe at a discounted rate of $25/day for those that pay in advance and I will mail the passes to you.

If you miss the ride for any reason, they are still good for a future visit, so no worries on if something comes up that weekend.

Well, I hope that everyone from this thread makes the trip to Rausch Creek atleast for Saturday 20th, which will be the Main day of the ride.

I will be announcing the news on the Homepage this week, and thanks for being apart of ATVrider.scom

Doug,

I am still waiting for the new axle to arrive, so I will not be at the race this weekend. I talked with Brian earlier and he may give you all a call to meet up at the race. Good luck and at least it won't be snowing this time

What has happenend to all the smack talkin from the D-7 MX guys. I haven't been to any races in awhile and was just wondering whats going on. I already know Mafia results but thats it. Also something about someone finishing second at seaford. I never thought that would happen!

Posted by: TWISTED

I thought you had retired. Millers has a race on Sat. HINT HINT!!!

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

I have to work Sat. Besides I hear that a full gate of D-7 riders would be to much for the locals to handle. Ruff riding in a holeshot they should try an a class gate at budds if they want to see ruff. I ran plus 25 at the nats which is basicly a stacked A gate and that was ruff. As far as retiring not a chance just down not out. I'll be back soon.

Posted by: kwatts400

RTSE, why are you getting rid of the 450?

Can't have too many toys, right?

Posted by: RTSE440

Kwatts... I agree, but I picked up a new ZX6-R Ninja, and just brought home a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda. Add those to the toy box, and now it's lookin bad to the wife. I already had a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE, and the quad. I also don't really ride that much anymore. It just makes sense right now to let it go. ( I can always pick one up again in the future ). These quads loose their value SO fast it isn't funny . Somebody will end up with a really nice, well kept machine...for a good price. If I can't move it as is, I'll have to pull all the aftermarket stuff off, and sell it stock, then ebay the rest.

interested???.......

I am sure you can think of a few more excuses.lol I am probably not going to be there. I plan on going to Seaford. I have to do a lot of riding. I am planning on doing the 12 hour at Rausch so I need a lot of seat time. Maybe I will see you in Nov. at Budd's.

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

12 hours, wow!! good luck. I know Travis wanted us to do it earlier in the year. I hope to make a 12 minute race. I'm sure you'll have a fast team to ride with. I ran actiontown 2 weeks ago, but budget coudn't handle Budds the same weekend.
Cliff is trying to stay on me about racing so it will be a saturday and sunday event for the 2 of us.
Thinking of people I haven't race'd this year. WHERE IS 187? we can have a rematch of last year. Both of us can have our own out of shape riders race.

For everyone coming to Budds this weekend, Are you ready for some MUDDDD. Looking at the weather for the weekend, maybe I will bring a Utility 4x4 for the harescrambles.

If you want more ride time you should come on down to action town mx this saturday. Lots of practice sat. morning, race in the afternoon. I'm trying to get off work to go. Its a pretty good hike for you to come but well worth the good time.

Sounds good but I am working on Saturday's. I am planning on Seaford again on Sunday. I am hoping Gil is going to ride so I can chase him around.

Where is action town mx? Do they have a website?

Go to the website below for into on Actiontown. Once your in the site, click the Actiontown tab on the left. It's a great track. Has something for all skill levels. Probably one of the most quad friendly tracks.

DITTO!

Posted by: RUTHLESS

DITTO!!!

I AM GOING TO KEEP THIS SHORT AND SWEET, THE SUPPORT OF DISTRICT-7 QUAD RACING IS SO BAD WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE IT.

THE WORST PART IS THAT IT IS THE FAULT OF THE LOSERS THAT ARE IN CHARGE AT D7 AND THE PROMOTERS THAT FAIL TO RECONIZE THE D-7 QUADS.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ATV'S SOLD IN THE USA OUT NUMBERED OFF ROAD BIKES LAST YEAR.

IT IS A FACT THAT 90% OF GUYS THAT LIVE IN THE D-7 DISTRICT DO NOT RACE IN D-7 EVENTS, JUST LOOK AROUND AND YOU WILL SEE ALL OF THE MONEY THAT LEAVES AND IS SPENT OUTSIDE OF D-7 DUE TO THE PISS POOR PROMOTERS AND D-7 REPS.

BTW JB IS PROBALLY THE WORST D-7 QUAD PROMOTER!!!
JB CAN CONTACT ME DIRECTLY IF HE WANTS TO LEARN HOW TO PROMOTE QUAD RACING AND INCREASE HIS PROFIT AND BRAND!

I WILL GLADLEY GO INTO VERY IN DEPTH DETAIL ABOUT HOW BAD THE D-7 QUAD RACING SCENE IS IN A THREAD LATER THIS YEAR.

BOTTOM LINE D-7 IS THE WORST DISTRICT FOR QUADS AND I HOPE THAT SOMEONE FROM D-7 READS THIS, MOREOVER IF SOMEONE FROM D-7 READS THIS THEY WILL NOT CARE OR EVEN THINK TWICE.

I REALLY HOPE D-7 LOSES AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE NEXT YEAR, YES HOPEFULLY NO ONE WILL SHOW UP TO THEIR PISS POOR TRACKS AND I HOPE THEY BECOME THE WORST DISTRICT PERIOD.

THIS POST HAS BEEN IN THE MAKING FOR ALONG TIME, I CAN'T SPEAK FOR EVERYONE THAT RACES QUADS IN D-7, BUT I KNOW TONS OF PEOPLE THAT FEEL THE SAME IF NOT EVEN MORE DISSAPOINTED WITH THE IGNORANCE FROM THE D-7 REPS & PROMOTERS.

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME JUST TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON WITH THE D7 MX TRACK OWNERS IN THE PAST YEAR, THEY HAVE HAD TO VENTURE AWAY FROM THE IDIOTS AND FORM THEIR OWN MINI DISTRICT/SERIES.

FO D-7

I SMELL WHAT YOU ARE COOKIN

RUTHLESS

Posted by: Delaware152

I assume you are referring to the harescramble side of D-7. If so it must be alot better on the mx side b/c right now it is one of the better district's for mx. Look at the number's for D6, 5 and 13. It won't take you long to go through. A few years ago D6 was huge and now it's next to nothing. What to they have 3 tracks. When you are referring to JB is that the rep?

Posted by: treake

I have to hand it to you, you live up to your name, Ruthless, but I personally do not feel you are entirely correct. I think as quad riders, we have been very fortunate in D7. Granted, we may not get the respect that everyone wants, but posting things like that, is not going to help matters any. From what I've read, D7 may have more quad races than other districts. Other districts are losing tracks that allow quads. Somehow, D7 has managed to have a 12 to 14 race series. The other district that does a really good job for quads, but has a poor turnout is, D13. Some friends and I have been to their races, and if the D7 riders didn't show up, they would have 2 people in B class and 3 in Vet class, etc. I'm not saying D7 is perfect. There is always room for improvement but I do not feel the tracks were bad this year and D7 does a horrible job. If anyone feels that strongly that the D7 folks did a poor job, stop sending your letters and step up to volunteer for a position, if you think you can do a better job. Otherwise, just sending a letter with your dissatisfaction and not saying anything good, is going to make all quad riders sound like compainers, and that's not the way to get respect.

The distrit 7 website gives Jeremy Branwein's email address. If you cannot contact him that way I know he will be at Budds Creek on the 20th for the MX race. www.amadistrict7.com is the webpage. At the last race JB stated he has been having trouble with his email. If I can contact him sooner than the 20th I will verify his email address.

As far as attendance the last actiontown race they stated it was the largest turnout ever for d-13 with 65 quads and they have more classes than d-7. I have been to d-7 races with more than that several times. Its not uncommon to see 2 gates full of c class. I have my own issue's with the district but as Del152 and Treake stated on the MX side its not really that bad. Be glad there are still places to race.

Very well said. I say Treake for rep!!! LOL

D7 DOES NOT SUPPORT YOUTH QUADS AT ALL!!!

D6, D5 & D13 all support youth quads but you have to be 16 to race a quad in D7 whether it is MX, HS or whatever. So to me they do not suport quads at all since I have to drive 100+ miles each way to take my son racing in WV, PA, VA or NJ. The kids are the future of the sport and D7 has turned it's back on the future. How is this support?

Posted by: Delaware152

I have to agree they don't support youth quads but is there enough interest? They have never raced youth quads in D7. I have talked to Jeremy and he wants youth racing but it's not all up to him. I have a daughter that is 15 months old so I want youth racing also. I don't want to travel just for her to race but that is probably what is going to happen.

Posted by: treake

Cletusex,

Ahhh yes, I think I remember you now. Saturday is looking like the better day but I can't ride that day. I'm still leaning towards Breezewood for Sunday.

Mxdad,

I agree, D7 has no support for the youth quads. Like Delaware152 stated, is there enough interest. Youth quads would be great. They are the future of the sport and it's a blast to watch them. Not to mention, it's fun watching the parents chase after them when the gate drops. LOL!!!

Delaware152,

Treake for rep!!! And I thought we were friends. LOL!!! I say #85 for rep. You know he's reading all of this.

Posted by: mxdad

My experience is YES there is enough interest. Now I don't think they can expect to say one day, yes we will race mini quads and everyone is going to fall all over themselves to get there but if they commit to doing it they will get more and more at each race. My son raced at Sleepy Hollow in D6 this season and there were and average of 15-20 4-8 yr olds racing 50cc quads at every race. Hell just take a look at the quad points in D6 and you will see how many minis they have running and there are only 3-4 tracks they can run. I know several Marylanders that travel to PA to race every weekend. I know guys from PA/NJ that are planning on traveling to D13 to race which they would have to pass D7 to get to. Here is a link to the current D6 quad points D6 Quad points

There were 59 - 50's, 29 - 70's, 70 - 90's, and 41 in the 13-15 yr old "Blaster Class". Do you call this interest??? I know I do.

Posted by: mxdad

I just checked the D7 ATV points and there are a total of 215 quads listed in the points D7 ATV Points

And is you add all of the youth ATV's that ran in D6 this year it comes to 199.

That is only 16 more quads in D7 than the amount of mini's that ran in D6 this year!!!

And is you add all of the quads that raced in D6 this year youth and adult equals 464 quads

That is more than twice as many as D7 had this year??? I think that even shows you that if you support ALL quads you will get a better turn out.

Had a great time at action town yesterday. One thing that I was suprised by was the youth and womens turnout. They did have the larger classes. womens had more than open b and a. They were not far behind c. The kids had a very large gate. Not sure if more than one class on the same gate drop or not.
I would love to see a format for D7 simular to the D13. Practice and Quads race on Sat. A track without dirtbike lines cut into it is great, I'm sure the dirt bike guys feel the same.

MXdad...Are you aware there is a D13 race 11/19 at Budd's Creek. They have youth racing so maybe you could hit a close one.

WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Of course some of you MX guys may need that long to recover after 2 laps??

Just having a little fun with ya!!!

Posted by: Delaware152

Watch it Moose. We will probably get 3 laps and Budd's is a long track. lol

Posted by: mxdad

Who's going to Budds Creek this weekend?
We are most likely going to take my son to race on Saturday. Anyone know if they shorten the track for the 50 quads? Is so, where do they cut the track? What time do the races start on Sat? Any info would be great since he has never raced there before.
Thanks!!!

Posted by: ESrider

There will be three or maybe four of us coming down to race on Sunday. I'm not sure if they cut the track or not, but I would think they would have to do something different for the little guys due the length of the track.

Posted by: mxdad

Any idea when they race the 50 quads? I am seeing quads listed on Sat at 2pm and on Sunday??? I thought D13 raced quads Sat & Bikes Sun?

Posted by: JRP

ya i will be there saturday to watch the races.. quads race saturday and bikes sunday..

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

District 13 quads race saturday, and district 7 quads race sunday. There will be quad races both days. Only A, B, C, and vets race sunday.
If there is a kids 50 race sat. they most likely will cut the track the same place as the 50 bikes. They will cut by the pond and only do the pit side of the track. All the big hills are cut.

Posted by: mxdad

Thanks for the info!!!

No problem! We also need to hear from Pappy to find out if little big gun is going to make an MX appearance. He could also drag that brother of his out to another MX track!!

Posted by: mxdad

Looks like we are going. Hope Pappy can make it as well. We will only be there Saturday since the mini quads can not race Sunday.

Posted by: jrspawn

Well, i just my copy of Carpe Diem 2 the other day, i have to say its probably the best atv dvd ive ever seen. After watching the GNC section of the dvd i noticed something. JT has some footage in the movie. It shows a start at budds and it show jt and then a good shot of him going into a turn and having someone around him wrecking. Just thought that was kinda cool. So i guess you could say that JT is not only fast as hell, he's famous too

Justin

Posted by: ESrider

That's pretty cool, I'll have to check it out! Way to go JT!

Posted by: Pappy

not positive yet, i want to go, but cody is in hunting mode

Posted by: ESrider

Tristan is in hunting mode now too, the decoys are loaded up and ready to go. He wants to try for his first goose tomorrow morning.
We'll be going to Budd's on Sunday for the D7 race. Who else from here is going?

If you're there look us up we'll have a white trailer with (2) 450Rs and a Dale.

Posted by: armoks

I'll be down on Sunday I gotta find Delaware152, Mike311, and a guy named quadprorider. I'll have my two dales in tow but right now probly won't be racing.

Posted by: Honda5

quadprorider will be with esrider and honda5 in the white trailer with the hondas pulled by a 3/4 ton chevy crew cab

Delaware152,

Will you be riding at Seaford this Sunday?

Posted by: mxdad

Del 152, It was nice meeting you at Budds. Congrats on your win in the first moto. How did you make out in the 2nd moto?

D-7 #61, Good to see you again at Budds - How did you make out in your races?

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

5th and 6th, 6th overall. I had a great time and I got plenty of seat time. The reason I raced saturday and not sunday.

What will Gil be riding this year?

Posted by: treake

Delaware152,

The weather is looking pretty good so far for Sunday. I've been trying to get #85 to blow the dust off his quads and ride Sunday. If the weather is decent like they are saying, I'm planning on being there. You and 309 can use me to practice passing.

Red.

If the weather is good I might ride this weekend. My remodeling project is almost complete.

Posted by: treake

It was good to see old #85 blew the dust off his quad and came out to Seaford yesterday. I had a good time out there with him, #152, #737 and #309. There was only 5 quads there, but we did our best to try and beat and bang with the dirt bike guys. LOL!!! The high light was Travis Pastrana showing up, doing a little practicing and finishing the day off with a backflip. He just picked an embankment, made a couple of practice runs, did a back flip and rode back to his truck. It was pretty damn cool to see. No ramps or anything.
