88..Can't tell you know you are racing against me. lol It doesn't look good for tomorrow...supposed to rain all day. I was hoping it would wait until late in the day so I could ride at Middleford.

Posted by: #88yfz

Yeah rainy and muddy down here to looks like i'll have to miss day this week to practice.Need the the practice still tired and rusty.

Posted by: Delaware152

I was lucky today. The rain held off and I was able to ride at Seaford. There was hardly anybody there so there were only two classes. The bad thing with that is you ride for 15 minutes sit for 15 and back again. I wasn't going to ride but Donald Lysinger came down so I had a very fast target. lol

Posted by: #88yfz

I wasn't to lucky just running around with easter eggs this weekend. But should practice this week!U heading to va this weekend?

Posted by: Delaware152

That's the plan. Probaly going to do vet this weekend also

Posted by: TWISTED

Where is the race in Va this weekend??

Posted by: Delaware152

Southfork

Posted by: trxbill450r

anyone know how the track is setup

Posted by: #88yfz

The track is kind of sand and quad friendly whoops and a couple doubles

Posted by: FasterBlaster#4

i take it no one is heading to georgia this week? Im heading down thurs. If anyone is going let me know. Good luck to everyone heading to VA this weekend. Delaware, take it easy in Vet class, i dont want you getting into anything that may be over your head.

Posted by: YLW400

You gotten in any seat time Blaster? Give me a call tonight if you aren't doing anything....

Posted by: jrspawn

Hey blaster, did you make it down to the Florida GNC? Im not gonna be able to make the georgia race, but ill be back for virginia and the rest. Im thinking about hitting easton up saturday and going back for the race on sunday there.

Sorry to hear about the KFX being gone. You should pick up a nice 4x4. They are awesome for just cruising around and some of the newer ones still have some ***** for when you wanna drop the hammer. Or just wait a few years and then pick up another sport quad. By then there should be some nice new quads out. Anyways, I still hope to see you at some of the races. The kids still going to race?

Journeyman- if interested in MX racing there is Delmarva Series that consist of races at Easton, Blue Diamond in New Castle, DE, Middleford track in Seaford, DE. The first race was 2 weeks ago at Blue Diamond and the next race is at Easton this Sunday. The website to the Delmarva Series is: http://www.delmarvamxseries.com/index.htm
This site also includes the sites to the above tracks. Hope to see you out there.

I miss my old cbr, especially now that its getting nice out.

A streetbike would be sweet but with all the idiot drivers out there a quad would be a lot safer. Good luck with whatever you get. By the way what offset are those hiper fronts? My brother might be interested if they are 4+1.

Anyways we are pulling out for the Nc GNCC race shortly. Should be a good but muddy time. Then we are hitting the Budds HS on Sunday. Monday morning is gonna suck. Wish us luck!

Posted by: FasterBlaster#4

Finally made it down to good old Echoconnee about 15hrs later. I couldnt wait to get out there and practice but come figure we got 4 inches of rain today. NO PRACTICE! sucks i know but it looks like tomarrow is going to be much better and the races must go on! Pulling into the pits we got stuck twice with a F350Turbo desil, ( that should give you an idea of how bad it is right now) The track is all sand and everyone says it will be in great shape, i guess well see.

Eric i read your post about quad or street bike, I had a '03 ZX6-R. Street bikes are def. fun and they seem more practicle, much cheaper plus you can ride them everyday. I ended up totaling mine thurday of last week. I was very lucky but what ever you choose make sure your careful, lot of idiots out there.

Any how, i will let you guys know whats going on as long as i can find an internet connection.

Posted by: Ericthered rdr

my crotch roket days are over!!!!! I had a GSXR750 back in the early 90's. If I get a streetbike it is gonna be a Hog. I am still gonna get a quad but if I do it will most likely be a ute. Who knows I might show up at the next race with a new Suzzie 450 when they come out.

Posted by: YLW400

Congrats to Faster for taking 2nd this weekend in open C class at the national!!

Posted by: cletusEX

All you mx guys would have loved Budds HS Sunday. It was a 20 lap mx race. The woods were "too muddy for quads", so Beasley had us do 20 laps on the mx track.

Posted by: YLW400

20 laps?????????????????? I would of died after lap 4

Posted by: Delaware152

That's the only way I could possibly finish decent at a harescramble. lol I am sure the mx track was in good shape. lol Could you even make it up all the hills?

Posted by: cletusEX

Actually the track was in great shape. He had bulldozed it in the morning after the rain. They cut out two hills in the back and ran you along the tree line instead. I was pulling 2nd and 3rd gear up all the hills. I would have rather been in the woods, 20 laps on a mx track is kinda boring in my opinion.

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

we should have let the woods boys go to southfork and us to budds. what a way to get ready for the nats.
Congrats to Faster you sandbagger! you better run B class at budds.

Posted by: FasterBlaster#4

Dont you worry D-7. . .

Posted by: 400exvet

hey Nick, Did you read about the weather they had in N.C. on Sat. night? Glad we left when we did huh!
I found some pics of the Budds fiasco on Sunday. (http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts...?event=04DE003Z).
I actually had a good time, of course placing well always helps that . We'll have to race a couple of MX's this year just for something different. It was fun running the 20 laps on the MX track...... quite painfull too. Especially, after the GNCC on Saturday. I hurt the worst yesterday evening when I was trying to clean everything up. We had a good time overall for the weekend even with all the rain, wind and mud . I was going to ***** about the lack of district 7 support at the Budd's race on their web site, but they don't have a forum anymore (imagine that!). I think the VHSS crew did well with the circumstances they were dealt. The track thing was completely out of their control. We probably aren't going to the S.C. GNCC, so good luck! Good racing with you guys again! Tell Brian I still feel bad about running into him...it was completely unintentional and the side of his axle that broke is not the side I hit

Posted by: cletusEX

Yeah I was looking for somewhere to ask D-7 why no one showed up. Just goes to show you that D-7 is a joke. I don't even know who are rep. is anymore. Oh well I still had fun.(I'm glad I decided to race.) Glad I was in C class you guys up there in B are ruthless. Just kidding man, we were just joking with ya about bumping. Everyone bumps a little. It was just funny how Brian's wheel fell off. My brother and I love giving people $hit, so don't take anything we say serious. The next D-7 race is at the end of the month so maybe we'll see ya there.

Posted by: DoctorRags

Well I didn't find anyone in particular to yell at, but I send an email to two people from District 7. I'll see if I get any response. I basically told them the points are wrong on their website, Budds Creek was a "disgrace" (that was the word used) and the points are all messed up b/c VCHSS didn't know how to count to 20. They had lappers ahead of people on the results.

We'll see what happens.

Posted by: armoks

Man I wish I would have made it to Budd's on sun i didn't think they were going to run anything because of the high water we had in southern MD

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

You going to danville for the nat. Nick Shoupe and I are going. Just wondering who else is. I know alot of people are backing out.

Posted by: YFZdave450

we were thinkin about goin to nationals at danville but we came to realize that we want my first national to be at budds. also any1 who knos who i am or has seen me ride.. should i run B or C class. also what classe(s) are u runnin in nationals?

Posted by: FasterBlaster#4

i'll be there big guy, i will catch up with you guys early next week, maybe we can come up with a game plan

Posted by: jrspawn

Hey, I'll be there in virginia also, along with matt, jay, and nick. When is everyone else heading out to go down there? I think we are just gonna head out thursday night after work. You heading down Paul?

Justin

Posted by: pgregg85

No, I am not going. I am not ready for the nationals yet. I can't even last two motos at a local race. I am going to practice and save it for the budds national.

Posted by: #88yfz

I'm one of the guys backing out to stay around here and practice and wait for buddscreek.Like paul i'm not ready for the nationals myself need more time on the quad.
Yfz dave u run b in the districts run b at the nationals and 16-24 class u will learn and get faster.

Oh yeah d7#61 see ya at practice be ready to get pushed!!!!!!!!!!

We were thinking about running it but I don't really like the way the classes are broken down. There are not different classes each team can be made up of an a-b, b-b, a-c, c-c, c-b riders. Any team with an A rider or a pro rider is going to win. It also is only 2 hours for quads. We run longer than that by ourselves at a GNCC. The track layout is nice. It is an mx track and a woods track. If I get the urge to race this weekend and find a partner I may do it but it is not likely.

Posted by: D-7#61-450r

We'll be leaving thursday evening. Definetly find us when you get there.
You to Justin it will be good to have some other D-7 boys to root for it makes the classes that much more interesting to watch.
#28 I remember last year getting beat by a local sandbagger that ran B class in d-7, but 4 stroke C at the Budds. Nat. I wasn't happy but thats how it goes at the Nats. He was doing heel klickers over pit row table top during the race. I hope this helps you make your desicion.

Posted by: jak1389

was wondering if there was any legal tracks or anything near ocean city becasue i am heading there this summer and would like to know. thanks

Posted by: #88yfz

See ya at danville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAHA

Thats right change in plans, I'm going to miss a couple district races this year anyway so i'm heading down to get faster.

Posted by: DoctorRags

Well I got in touch with the ATV Harescramble rep from District 7. His name is Jeremy Brandwein. Seems like a good guy and willing to try to make a few changes to improve the Quad HS series. To begin with, he wants to get contact information for everyone. Seems like the easiest way is through email because he can mass email everyone. For those of you that either race District 7 Quad Harescrambles or are interested, please PM with your email address. I told him I would start putting a list together of the people I know.

Posted by: YLW400

He's the HS rep this year? I know he has been the MX rep for a couple of years, but didn't know he was doing HS as well.....

Posted by: cletusEX

The old atv hs rep is now the vice president. She is also pregnant with twins so I think Jeremy Brandwein is filling in this year. I don't really care about them making changes I'd just be happy if they'd show up at a race. Budds was a joke on Sunday because no one from D-7 was there.

Posted by: pgregg85

He can't be in two places at once. We had a district 7 quad mx points race at Southfork. Jeremy was there and had current points updates for the mx side. If he is just filling in he might be a little behind.

Posted by: 400exvet

just curious as to why he would need our e-mail addresses? We already have a schedule and if races are cancelled they have a system to re-schedule and mail out the new date. The only changes that I see needed are minimal:
1. the sign up crew should be aware that we are racing that day, be organized and figure out a way to determine that we are quads, either by asking or making the classes end in a Q or something???
2. races be atleast 1.5 hours
3. somehow figure out a way to score us correctly every race and get those points to the rep.
4. keep the year end points correct and up to date

I don't think we are asking for the moon here...most organizations already do all this. I understand we are not the bread and butter of the district and/or the tracks that we race on. But, we still deserve to be recognized and get what we pay for. The rep doesn't have to be at the races but atleast make sure that all the above is happening at every track/race. Seems to me somebody is missing something here. I see quads everywhere! Why aren't there more quads racing local? There sure are plenty at the GNCC's. Does the typical beginner need to see more organization when they race for the first time....or something that makes them want to come back and do it again??? I don't have all the answers and I don't want to volunteer my time to make it better. Although, I will express my ideas. Actually, I will race whether it is organized or not... Later, Doug

Posted by: YLW400

He was always behind anyway

I understand he can't be two places at once that's why I said "someone" from D-7 should have been there. That's fine if he can't make it but at least figure out a way so that we don't get screwed. The way they did the scoring was a joke and a lot of people ended up getting screwed.

I'm with ya Doug, I will still come even though it is a joke because I need all the practice I can get for the Nationals, but I don't know if I'll buy a D-7 card.

Posted by: DoctorRags

The reason he wants to get everyone's email address is so he can communicate to everyone what's going on. It's a two way street. He needs feedback and input from us, and then he needs to let us know what's going on and if changes are actually happening. This little bit of communication should help to improve things, which will hopefully help the series grow. Many people are always saying quads get sh*t on, but that is because we don't have the numbers that bikes have. Now maybe this isn't right, but it all boils down to money. Bikes bring more money and therefore get more. Like you Doug, I don't want to volunteer my time because the free time I currently have is few and far between. However, I will offer ideas and suggestions. Hence, the email address. It's a quick way to communicate to everyone.

pgregg, I agree with you that you can't be in two places at once, which is why I volunteered everyone from our camp to help out, if needed. Nothing major, just simply getting a copy of the official results after the race to get to Jeremy to update the website. As long as we make sure someone gets a copy of the "correct" results, it should be easy to keep the points updated.

It looks like there will still be a bunch of people from the site at Rausch on Sunday.

I've got the week of the 18th off, so I plan on getting out 2-3 days that week. I haven't ridden since the last snow storm. Have fun at Rausch on Sunday guys.

Posted by: RUTHLESS

CAN'T RIDE ON SUNDAY
DEF THIS WED AND NEXT SUNDAY

Posted by: jrspawn

Well, had a pretty good day at seaford sunday. There was a pretty good turn out there for quads. I was having problems with my bike on and off there though, with the throttle sticking and lacking out on power sometimes. After we left the track, we went to the car wash, i started the bike and it stalled out, then started it again, and BANG, it locks up. I wasnt a happy camper and still not, considering im supposed to be leaving for virginia thursday. We got my engine out last night and looked it over, came to the conclusion that it jumped timing. Im not sure if anyone is familiar with the yamaha setup, but the timing chain has a tensioner that pushes on a piece of poly that your chain runs on, my timing chain is brand new. The tensioner is all the way out pushing on on the poly piece, and the chain is still too loose. Nothing obvious you can see is broke or anything, just making no sense. If anyone has any ideas please post them, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Justin

Posted by: YLW400

man, that sucks Justin..Good luck in getting it back together..

Delaware, no I didn't.....But I did get alot of Harley parts ordered!!!

Posted by: #88yfz

yOUR TENSIONER PROBALLY FAILED, THEY DO ON YFZ ENGINES.

YOU CAN CALL CLIFF AT CT3MOTORSPORTS 540-845-5779 AND GET A CUSTOM BILLET TENSIONER YOU SELF ADJUST THAT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM FROM HAPPENING ANYMORE.

Posted by: jrspawn

Hey, the tensioner is still working, i checked it last night, my problem is that it is all the way out pushing on the poly skid for the chain to tighten it, and its still loose with it all the way extended. Does the CT3motorsports place stock any of the yamaha engine parts like timing chains and gasket sets? Because im gonna needing to be like next day airing all the parts today.

thank you
justin

Posted by: Delaware152

You could just drive to Fredricksburg. I am sure Cliff will do what he can if he has the parts. He will treat you right.

Posted by: #88yfz

I dont know what parts he has, but the tensioner will adjust farther out so you get the slack out call him, hes at the shop today tell him who you are and a friend of jt.

Posted by: Delaware152

Don't tell him you are a friend of mine...he may charge you double. lol

Posted by: #88yfz

Have to get the aclass prize money back somehow.LOL
Heard paul had a pretty big weekend ar rausch with dunkleberger and pat brown wat to go paul.
I'm haeding to danville thursday to get some practice.

Posted by: seatec

i saw dunk there but not Paul.

Posted by: jrspawn

Hey, ill give him a shout. thanks for the help.

Justin

Posted by: pgregg85

I was there on Saturday. It was some good practice riding with those guys. I definitely got my practice in for jumping.

Posted by: seatec

Speaking about Jumping. i was looking over to the expert track last sunday i just couldnt believe how fast those guys are and how far they where jumping. hats off those those guys and gals that can do that.

Posted by: jrspawn

Well, i got my engine over to Butch at B&B monday evening. The diagnosis was NOT good. Apparently i had sucked a good bit of dust threw the air filter or boot sometime andit went into the engine, taking all of the chrome off the cylinder inside, then trashing the rings and piston, all the bearings, crank, rod, oil pump, cam chain, cam chain guides, and minor damage to the valve train. So i bassically toasted the whole engine. Which sucks because im supposed to be racing virginia. But with the HUGE HELP of everyone i should have a motor together by tonight. Donnie Lamborn hooked me up with a complete bottom end, i had an extra cylinder, the head is fine, and all the rest of the parts were next day aired out of california. So i should be good to go still for virginia. Hey Andrew, shoot me a mail with your number so ill be able to get a hold of you when we leave.

Justin

Posted by: #88yfz

See ya in danville fellows!

Posted by: pgregg85

#88 what classes are you and Nick going to run in Danville. Good luck to you guys down there.

Posted by: #88yfz

Not sure yet waiting to see the schedule for the classes, i know one class i'm running is +25,and fourstroke aorb, or maybe open aorb. not sure

Posted by: jrspawn

Hey Andrew, my PM box was full when you tried to send something to me last night. It should be good now to send. You can get a hold of me at either 1-302-750-0038 or 1-302-750-0039. You'll probablly have better luck getting me on the 0038 number. Give me a shout whenenver you get the message. We are probably gonna head out at 6 tonight.

I left my digital camera in my truck while we were riding, that coal dust is pretty nasty. I used realtors on my 450r last fall at Ashland and they were too tall for my gearing. I used a set of well worn out 20 inch blackwaters at Treverton last Sunday and they worked out pretty well. The guys I went with ran the Skat- Track Terrain Tracks on their bikes and absolutely loved them. They had awesome bite and they are very light weight.

It was only my 2nd time hillclimbing, so I didn't climb any hills that I wasn't sure that I could make, next time I'll try some bigger climbs.

I'm on vacation next week so I'm looking to ride 2 or 3 times.

I will have my signs on my truck and park on tyhe right as you go past the check in gate.

Just back from Danville and all I can say is if you were not there you missed one heck of a weekend. The 105 foot triple is insane. I saw more broken axels on friday than I have ever seen. Congrats to #88 for seventh in 265B, what a fast class that was. And Nick Shupe was a determined man but the 440 couldn't hold up to the 16-24 class. Cliff was also moving but had some difficulties. Myself, I stepped it up but fell short on the the trophy's in 25+ and 265B.

I rode by there a month or so ago and it was all blocked off with jersey walls. I can ride by there again on my way home and check it out. There are some places off of Trimble that I have rode lately.

wondering if there is an ATV Harescramble at Rocket Raceway this Sunday. I have it listed as an ATV event, but it may be an older schedule from the district 7 web site. The District 7 monthly paper doesn't have it listed, but it was and possibly still is listed on their web site.

Nick & Dan....congrats on finishing the Big Buck. Looks like you both had some trouble but you still went, had a good time and finished....what else is there?????The weather was much better than Steele Creek huh?

I hear that the last race at Budds isn't going to count towards the year end D7 points. Something about it wasn't long enough to be considered a real H.S. race???? The rules state that a H.S. race must be 1 Hour minimum? So I guess, the 20 laps on the MX track was not 1 hour I don't know how they could tell because I didn't think they kept any times. Only your number and how many laps you did......whatever!

Posted by: 250RXCrider

Doug,

When they put out the ATV HS schedule the first Rocket Raceway race will be both quads and bikes. So I am looking forward to racing at a new track!

Hey James....whatuuuuuup

What confuses me is: in the D7 Monthly paper, it has it as not being a Quad event. It shows the next quad H.S. on 5/1 at F.O.M. . Is the paper right or the website???? I'll call Rocket Raceway before we go anywhere.

I would call them or the ATV HS Rep...oh wait we don't have one

Posted by: 400exvet

now now that's no way to be! we do have a rep. and he has yours and Dans e-mail addresses in case you have a question or concern....wait a minute, you should have HIS e-mail address in case you have a question ...I'm sure we could find it if we really needed it. Anyway, I hope it really is there and I can make it, I finally got all the Steele Creek / Budds weekend mud scraped off and she's looking good again If not, there is a district 6 race at Hurricane Hills. I've never been there either!

Posted by: cletusEX

I hope there is a race this weekend. I can always use the practice. If not we should definitely get out and ride somewhere.

I wonder what 4 wheeler it was, I guarantee it wasnt a trx 90....

Posted by: seatec

I saw it on the news this morning and boy, they sure don't let a chance go buy to emphasize that it was an ATV that killed the boy. Never mind that the boy was un supervised so to compensate the person who was suppose to watch out for the kid they are probably going to rally to ban ATV's so they can feel better. WATCH YOUR CHILDREN WHEN THEY operate these things. You wouldnt hand your kid a loaded gun and walk away?

Now i know it can happen even if you stand there and watch them but this person apparently wasnt watching the kid while riding.

Posted by: mxdad

Those were my thoughts as well when I read this.

1. What size ATV - prob not a 90cc
2. Why was he not being supervised?
3. What kind of safety equipment? chest protector?
4. What kind of experience, safety training, etc... was provided for the kid?
5. How are these people going to shift the blame to the ATV instead of the adults that were supposed to be watching this kid.

Sad that any kids get hurt but this is what happens when parents do not watch their kids.

Posted by: wvspeedfreak

Yeah,I saw that on the news last night but they didn't give any details at all.If anyone gets any more in depth info on this I would like to hear about it.

Posted by: cletusEX

Yeah Fox 5 just did a story on ATV's in the city. They showed a bunch of guys riding ATV's without helmets in northeast D.C. Of course they mentioned the young kid dying in Anne Arundel county. You can't fight such biased media.

Posted by: wvspeedfreak

Yep,just watched that too.The only coverage quads ever get in the mainstream media is negative.

Hey we don't need any attitude! They are a volunteer group!

Posted by: 400exvet

Very sad to hear about the boy killed on the ATV. My 7 yr old son rides his 50 ATV almost every day. Only if my wife or I are at home. Even though he is supervised, I can see where he could still have an accident. Although, we would know right away if something happened. I would feel bad if something happened, but I would know I did what I could to make it as safe as possible for them to enjoy a semi-dangerous sport. Can all of you parents that have kids that ride say this? I don't think the parents should be blamed either, unless it is proven that they really were negligent and not supervising him properly. To me, the media should take this time to emphasize the need for protective equipment, training and strict supervision when your children participate in activities such as motorcycles or ATV's....even bicycles. Use some NEWS time for a special on how or where to get proper equipment and training. And how, when and where your kids should ride....not how bad ATV's are. I spend alot of time making sure that the trails that my kids ride on are safe. There are also many rules that they must abide to. They don't just jump on and go ride wherever whenever!

Nick, you guys going to Rocket?
Do you guys have a room at WISP yet?

I talked to Jeremy, the ATV rep for D7. He said the points for Budds WILL NOT COUNT, even the bikes. He said there was just too much confusion and the race should have been cancelled. Between the mix up at sign in, the late start, racers leaving, the 20 laps on the MX track was not the 1 hour minimum that H.S. are supposed to be and the way we were scored, just can not be counted as a real race. He says that he is really trying to make the ATV H.S. series better.....not a very good start huh? He assures me it will get better and the remaining tracks will know that we(ATV's) are coming and that our results will get to D7.
later, Doug

Dirt Tack Crofton, MD USA

Track Style: Motocross Terrain Type: Combination
Track Obstacles: Doubles, Whoops
Directions: From B-more go down 97 to route 3. Keep going till you see a McDonalds on your left. Make a right at the next light. Then make your first left after that and their well be a trail on your left going up to it. From the south of 3 go north on 3 till you see a pond on your right and go to the next traffic light and make a left. then it is the same as above. It has a Few Good jumps and whoops. I've heard nothing but great things from people who own the new KingQuad. If I was in the market for a utility it would be that or a Praire 700 if I wanted a more racey utility. The only thing is if your skinny ***** can throw that thing around. lol j/k man!

So when is the next race your going to be at? The kids gonna be racing the next Foot of the Mountain? If so I'll probably see you there.

Posted by: Honda5

kwatts that is not very nice, you should only take one quad and and offer to a friend the other space. hahaha. But that is ok the wife kids and I are leaving for silver lake july 23 and staying til the 31st (the 30th and 31st are the sand drag nationals) it is the youngest first trip and he is soo happy I got him a set of paddels too.

Posted by: kwatts400

Dave, I was wondering when you were going out this year. I'm going with 3 other people, so one of my bikes will be a spare.

Can't wait for a little of this.

Just wondering how strict Silver Lake is about sound. My older brother lives a couple hours south of Silver Lake and my other brother and I keep talking about making a trip up there. Would hate to go up and get hassled by the man for loud pipes.

Posted by: Honda5

kwatts you will love the 450r with paddels you can pull wheelies in 4th gear.
As for how tuff are they on sound, I ride during the week and they never checked us for db (I think the limit is 96db) but they did check us for spark arrestor. I got thru with a old style t-4 on my 400ex and FMF factory4 on my 450r.

Posted by: seatec

how do i find this place on mapquest. whats the nearest biggest town or is that silver lake?

Posted by: Honda5

Mears Mi.

Posted by: kwatts400

I didn't have a problem last time I went with a pro-circuit t-4 on a 400ex, and also had my 250r with an fmf pipe and silencer. We went during the week last time, but I will be there for the weekend this time. There will be another group going out with us, Butch, The guy that works on my bikes and his son-in-law are going. They will be riding an LT250r quadracer with an 1100cc+ gsxr motor in it, and a 250r with a zx636 motor in it. Hopefully I will have the chance to ride one of those beasts while I'm out there.

Where's everyone riding this weekend? For you XC guys, I think my brother and I are hitting the Koontz XC race in WV on Saturday. The weather doesn't look to be too bad.

Posted by: 400exvet

We've been looking at that series also Nick. I can't make this one....Anniversary weekend at St. Michaels, doin' the only thing better than riding a quad We'll definately make a few of those Koontz races this summer.
Has your head regained its normal size yet, after that exciting finish you had at the John Penton? People can look at all the pictures they want, but if you weren't there to see it, you can't imagine how bad it really was.
I am still having nightmares from seeing that full sized 4 wheel drive farm tractor getting stuck trying to pull you guys out . I have never seen or heard of, one of those tractors getting stuck.

I am pretty sure, as long as there is no crappy weather, that Im going to be riding up at Tomahawk this Sunday.

Also I think one of my friends who has a YFZ is coming up there too. He said he was, but Im not sure if he is really coming or not.

Anybody else?

O yea, if you don't reply to this, but you are up there. Im going to be riding a 05 YZ 250 that is pretty much stock except pipe.

Haha, that guy turned and looked at Brian and said "what the hell you have in that thing." We will let you know how the Koontz races are. I've heard nothing but good things and some of them aren't too much farther than a local race (for us at least maybe not for you guys). Did Ron get a 450 yet?

I finally jumped to a production quad. I was accually looking for a YFZ a couple weeks back, but after riding one of these with the cam and some other performance stuff done, i accually liked it. So i got rid of the hybrid and got a Honda. Hopefully ill like it better, im probably gonna try it out somewheres tomorrow to try to get the suspension dialed in right, the myself and matt are going to seaford sunday, any one esle going? Also would anyone happen to know how high i should have my ride height when im sitting on the bike? Right now with me on it the from the bottom of the frame under the foot pegs to the ground is almost 6 inches and the second lower a arms bolt(the one closest to your feet not the very front one) is about 6 3/4". It seems if i go any higher the quad just seems to sit to high and feel wierd. Just thought i would ask to see if i could get some input.

thank you

They had 8 riders in the pro class so 1st was paid $200, 2nd $140, 3rd $100. If you and Paul and a couple others show up, they'll raise it more. It would be great if all the dist. 7 guys could make it.
