Getting the seat back in place right on the 2003 Honda 400EX Sportrax, i have trouble getting the front slot on its peg with the battery in the way! Anyway around this?

Nope it's a ****** until you get the hang of it. Try grabbing each fender from behind the quad and folding them up and together like you're starting to fold a taco. Boy that sounds weird but it's the best way I can describe it. That spreads apart the sides of the plastic that hits the battery and exhaust. After you get it down a few times, you can pop the plastic on no sweat.

If you wanna go though the trouble of rigging something up to move your battery back, I am sure that it can be done........personally, I would just practice up on putting your seat on, or else buy an after-market airbox that lets you put the battery inside.

a little expensive though...

but it cleans up the side of your 400 ex by putting the battery and all that other stuff there on the side inside the air box.. plus giving your better air flow...
