This hill was trickier than it looks.

did sombody post about this guy getting a wrench out and working on this quad?well it was me he ended up bending the sub frame,but its back to knew now! whats your stories from the ironman?

I didn't think that hill was bad. Raced in on a 400ex on sat. and on a CRF450r on sun., no problems.

Thats actually the 2nd big hill on the track. I had a blast, Ironman is one of the funest races of the year.

What bypass are you talking about? I saw three lines going up that hill. The one he flipped on I thought was the easiest of the three. Last year they went further to the right to let some of the less experienced up, is this what you are talking about, I didn't even look over that way this year. I was in a hurry.

Brian, sorry to hear about the Mojave. We seen you later on at Haspin for their Halloween 100. That was a mud fest. How did you do? Were the tools come from I don't know. I said we needed a 10 mm wrench to adjust the bars adn he come out of the crowd with a 10 mm wrench, now that's service. The by-pass was off to the left about 75 yds. It wasn't used all that much.

On the first lap there were people rolling everywhere down that hill.

when I saw that bike come flipping down the hill and his boot was still stuck in between the frame and the oil line I thought he broke his ankle.

biggest hillclimb at the ironman, i took a nasty fall in the morning rrace when i tried to make it up the biggest and fastest run up the hill, its bigger than it looks

I tried that big hill climb myself. I hit them roots where the tree was and ended up in the crowd. Good thing is the spectators grabbed ahold of the Predator pretty quick and turned me around. On the way down some guy was running beside me took a nose plant and I thought I was going to run him over. the crowd has there +/- being right there. If anything you can be like Popo and use them to releive your frustrations.

ya the crowd couldnt get to me in time becuz i was right in the middle so my pred rolled about 6 times down that hill and once over me...atleast they helped me tip it back up when it was sitting face down at the bottom

This thread is a little old, But id like to see all the pics of the Iron Man, This will be my first year for the All of the GNCC races that i run, and the Ironman is the next race i already have off for. So if u have any good pics of the hill that show how they really are i would appreciate it. Those hills dont look bad at all!

Kim Kunhle on the big hill, O ya the hills are pretty rough, i would suggest taking the side hills ,not the main, becuz coming out of the creeks it is hard to get up speed and traction, i didnt make it up this hill once last year and rolled over 6 times all the way back down, which wasnt fun!

One more with me on my predator in front, also sitting in a bottleneck, that I sat in for over 30 Minutes! This was my last lap, which took 1 hour and 15 minutes with the bottlenecks. I hope they fix the course this year to have to prevent bottlenecks.
