The block off is around $10 and the clutch/perch is around $25. If you have the money get both, it looks a lot cleaner and is easier to pull. I have used all differnet kind of pads and braking seemed to work the best.

I get the longest life out of stock honda pads. they are the same price as ebc pads.

remove it & hang it on your garage wall.

ok what you have to do is first take the reverse cable off ,take it off down by the engine case, if you look at what it does is it pulls the small black lever back down on the lower left side of your engine, what i did is remove the wire in the bracket that also holds the reverse cable(it is right there) in the bracket is the reverse cable and then a single wire if you take that off u remove your neutral/reverse lights(i never use mine anyway) and also you remove the reverse rev-limiter(to get them off you have to pull them out of a black bracket on down below the black reverse lever), we took all this off to use that wire bracket we just turned the bracket over and used that as a place to ziptie the reverse lever back! then you pull of the parking brake on the rear caliper, disconnect the wire and pull it all the way off. then in the perch there are 2 wires just splice them together(make sure it is coimpletly waterproof or it will die when it gets wet) splice them together and get them out of the way(this will allow the bike to start in gear, without the clutch) then just hook up your new perch and your good to go! sorry so long!!!!

I use stock honda pads and they last the longest for me. I went through 3 pairs of pads in one month last year because I realize my parking brake was always apllying pressure to the pad, so I then removed it and had no problems since. But in the middle of the fall I was noticing my rear brakes wouldn't lock up unless I put all my wieght onto the pedal....I then looked into it and I found out that my caliper slide had siezed because one of the rubber boots had ripped. So if your having braking problems too check your caliper slide.
