Try the no-footer until you get it good. Then work on the no-hander until you are comfortable enough to make it a no handed lander. After that do them in combonation, no-footer no handed lander.
This is a good starter stunt to get on tape and watch with your friends.
Just my 2 cents

wouldnt that hurt just a little bit?

no footer is easier, u don't even have to start out w/ a full no footer. Just start off w/ lifting them off the pegs a lil when ur in the air and then just start inching them out if your that affraid.
After that start w/ one handed then let go both hands and regrip right away and then start moving them away from the handle bars. Keep progressing little by little and in a couple hours u'll be doing nothings.
Any jump u want pretty much. I can do them over whoops or 80fters.
I'd say best to learn would be a jump that throws u up about 4ft up in the air. U don't need much.

Do the no-footer and put your feet on the pegs then do the no-handed lander.

The family jewels <--- was what he meant
Just watch out that you dont drift forward or backward cause when you put ur feet back on the pegs, depending on where your body is positioned, it will screw up your landing.

try em both at the same time

no-footers are really easy, but kinda scary to do your first time. after you try it you'll be like "WOW, that was all there is to it, damn that was easy

That sucks.
I dont do much freestyle but the boots and nerfs are almost a necessary asset for MX cause you can break your leg the same way without doing freestyle.
My friend broke his leg just through riding through a field! He didnt have nerfs or boots, and he had his heel kicks removed which when he hit the bump, his leg got wrapped around the axel.
