Sure what do you have to lose.......I would do that before I would take a chance of the chain coming off.....

What about a lock washer between the arm and bolt?

use safety wire, Those bolt heads are soft. Drill and wire from bolt to bolt adding lite tension to hold bolts tight ( Mark bolts dia. top to bottom) Can not be lost then.

i had this happen to me and then my chain came off..whilei was crossin a river...not good at all...i got it all tangled up...just like 250r's r famous for. lucky for my it didnt get shot thru the casing
