Front tires or not???

We are planning our annual ride to the Little Sahara for October or November.

Last year when we were down there I bought a set of Sand Devils from the on site shop (I can't remeber the name of the place). I want to get front tires for this years trip, should I get the ones with the rib down the center or smooth?

i would say the mohawks (the one with the knobs down the middle, from skat trak) thats what i have and they work really well. i dont think the smooth ones would turn very well when you are going fast.
