Could someone please post the link or tell me how to bypass the reverse switch on buddies 300ex. we want to be able to remove the whole stock clutch lever and perch and use my old MSR Raptor Lever. Anyone ever done this?

I know it has been posted here before, but I couldn't find the old thread.

Sorry if this is confusing, it's early and i'm tired. I think you have to cross some wires or something and it will let you put it in reverse in any gear.

follow the cable down to the case, there is a lever, you have to find a way to lock it in the "engaged" position, maybe remove the cable and safety wire the lever to the frame.

that dosn't sound like what i read before

i thought you just had to cross some wire on the handle bars like on my 400??

no its actually a mechanical thing.... you probably would have to wire it up or what ever like dude said... but i knwo for sure oyu dont cross wires 'cause its a cable that you pull w/ the clutch

pretty sure its in extech or reviews but its a cable that is pulled and pulls up a lever by the right footpeg

The whole procedure is in EX TECH and you do have to connect the 2 wires that hook on to the little switch on the clutch lever.

But heres how I did mine"
Follow the cable down to the right side of the engine, its connected to a little lever, just like the clutch is, you must pull that lever back, and use something to hold it there, I used a piece of tie wire
Then, when you get a new perch and lever, you have to remove the old safety switch inside the stock perch, Those are the 2 wires you hafta put together, do i make sense or am I on Drugs too? Trust me, cuz Ive done it, to 2 different bikes, Hetrick330EX is the one who posted this mod in the first place, ask him if you dont believe me

nope, looks like your right and a little update....i have had people try to put it in reverse wow in gear and it WILL NOT WORK!!! so thats a god thing!!!

Its the revlimiter...
you will just have someone do a RevBox Mod...Hetricks,TC,Sparks...
