who makes aftermarket frames for z 400s?

just curious, in the next year or 2 im going to be building some sort of new race quad, i like the z 400 motor and they dont cost 6800, now who makes a GOOD aftermarket frame besides lonestar? what is the advantage of mounting the z 400 1 inch lower?

LRD Attitude frame is the best one out right now.

Mounting the motor 1 inch lower moves all that weight down. Would make it handle a ton better.

they had some issues in the past, but im pretty darn sure their all good now.

LRD had issues with the 250R footpeg mounts only. It took them over a year to release the Z400 frame due to extensive testing.

LRD stood up and replaced all 250R footpeg problems with new updated frames.

The LRD R and Z frames are breaking. They are trick and look good but, they still have problems.

why would you get an aftermarket frame for the z? get one for an r... you cant race that in production classes anyways

The R frames break, Not the Z. The Z frame that Stephanie Parton was from a mock up frame and was not suppose to be used for racing, that's why the rear shock mount broke.

Please explain where your getting other information about the LRD Z frames breaking.

I talk with him every two weeks at GNCC races, and he personally asked me? Who was this z400acdc guy was on Exriders.com talking about his quads. Could be that Bill does know you’re uncle by his real name rather than z400ACDC.

And if you ride on JJ's practice track, good for you, take advantage of it. Maybe you'll be as good as him someday.
