The adjustment screws on my 400 ex headlights are loose. So when I ride they bounce around. When I went to tighten them they were locked in place, couldnt turn them in or out. Is there a trick to this?

I had the same problem, I just ended up taking JB Weld and putting it on the screws. They haven't moved at all.

mine done the same thing and when i tried to tighten them up they broke so i put that clear chalk all over the bolt heads and that black peice under there and when it dried they were perfect
its the same thing sportrax 400 did.

My grey plastic broke that held the nuts in the headight. I used jb weld and put in the nut and flattened it out.
I also put silicone on the top part of the headlight, so it doesn't rattle at all, and gives it a cushion.
