for those who have a 300ex and renthal handlebars who took off the top plastic to show off the crossbar bad...where did you relocate your key??

You can use a 250X key holder or like me cut out a hole in the plastic underneath the handlebars on the side about 1". You can also cut a piece of plastic and mount it where your headlight mounts and put your switch there (the way it is on the one I have now)

i wire tied mine to the frame rail directly in front of the motor, just a little above the header.

got the hole close to 1" with what we had, used a dremel to get the last little bit out..used a pocket knife to fit the knotch.

They're not renthals but it might help, I cut the flaps off of the sides and kept the middle. With the cross bar pad it's tight but I can still get my key in and out, and I can still shut off the machine with out troubles.

i drilled a one inch hole in the side plastic and stuck it in there. i have a keyholder i can sell from the 87 250x with a crack in one part but will certainly work fine, id sell for like 10 shipped(10 and ill ship it). only reason i need to sell it is itdoenst work with my cr low bars
