I was thinking about cutting my subframe and installing a 250R grab bar. What year does everyone use (86-87 or 88-89). How complicated is it to install? Is there anything I should know before I attempt this modification?

i would just either buy a LSR subframe which use the 86-87 grab bar i belive or just send your subframe somewhere and have them do it. there was a thread about someone doing this a bit ago and i dont remember who they said to send it to

someone posted earlier that Jeff at the Quadshop does this. Not sure about that though.

Yes, we can do that mod! We like to use the 88-89 grab bar.

I thought about welding tabs onto my subframe, And not cutting the grab bar off of the 400 and using a grab bar off of a 300ex.
