Gas cap hose ?

I was wondering what guys do to there gas cap or what they buy to make it shorter? Like the ones that are really short and it looks like there is a cap on the top of the hose sticking up(like a valve stem cap

) Just wondering if it is a whole new gas cap or hose or what? thanks

you get a one way flowing valve that goes inbetween 2 peice's of the hose like they have on dirt bike's then cut it how ever long you want it to.

It will let the air flow in but the gas won't flow out.

So you have to get one of those one way flowing vavle things. Thanks. But does that cap come with it or where do people get thoses? Do you know what I mean, they are different color caps on top some are gold some are blue whatever color the rider wants, I guess. Where can I look in to getting this thing at?

any place that sell's dirt bike's should be able to get them, you don't have to get them but if you don't run them then gas will get all over you if you hit any bump's.

It just slide's into the hose and your done. you can probly get them in differant color's

Most dirtbike shops should sell it already assembled, and in different colors. I have one made by Free-Flo. They make them with or without the one-way check valves in them.

15 bones is such a rip its not even funny, do you guys have idea idea how much is cost to make and market this part?, probly no more than a buck for the hose and one way valve

lol off topic but to ad to the rip off thing, i got some 110 ounce camel pack that had a tag for 90 bones on it and the guy knows me and gave it to me at cost, it only cost him 15, than like the decks they sell for 60 they pay 13 for,,,, sry i had to vent :-p

I know what you mean you are not talking about the check valve inline with a hose on each side, I have one I got at magic racing, and have seen them at duneland, you can get them in colored anodized also. its just the check valve with a vent built in, snapes right onto fuel cap, they are only about 1 1/2 to 2 " long, they look cool but overpriced and no beefit, i paid 22 dollars for it
