What are the best paddel tires for a 440 ex on alky it has a head job a quicksilver carb and hotcam with LRD full exhaust stock gearing It has plenty of power and soon i am making a trip to the dunes and need paddels. I heard tires with straight paddels are hard on the rear end and suck for turning.

That depends on your riding style, I have no problems turning or sliding. I run 9 paddle extremes and love them. Most people opt for haulers or skates, you can't really go wrong with either tire, they are both good. It's just a matter of preference. Haulers have a shorter life span then the other tires because the paddles are "welded" on and not molded, they are lighter though.

Where do you want your EX to perform best at?

The drags or just duning?

a straight paddle tire wont do anything to ur bike as far as tearing up anything. i have a set of 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers on my bike. they are a good tire for the 4 strokes. im in need of a new set soon and im thinking about going with either 21x12x8 8 paddle or the 22x11x10 8 paddle. since u have the 440 i highly recommend the 22x11x10 8 paddle which is a tall tire. go to www.rockymountainatv.com and a set of 22x11x8 8 paddle haulers mounted on 160 aluminum for $217.99 "good deal" , they also send u tires in like 3 days.

Anyone run 8 paddle Taller Haulers?

I currently run just regular 8 paddle Haulers and I think I might get to much tire spin.

I either want 8 run Tallers , or 10 run Haulers. Anyone know what would be better?

ALL TALLER HAULER BASICALLY IS A THICKER PADDLE. GO WITH THE 21 OR 22 INCH HAULER EXTREMES OR REGULAR HAULERS. THEY ARE A TALLER TIRE "LESS TIRE SPIN" MORE TRACTION

A Taller hauler is a taller paddle... yes i know. Anything other than a 20" tire is gonna mess with my gearing and im not interested in that.

""Less tire spin" more traction"

Thats all great and all, but how about I keep my same arm rippping tire spin and just gain on the traction part, by equiping more paddles or taller paddles.

From what I have understood they do not make the taller hauler anymore. They replaced them with the extremes which they claim is a regular hauler with kevlar reinforced blades. My extremes look like they have a bigger blade then the regular haulers which are shod on most of the other bikes in my garage. I am running the 9 paddle extremes and love them. They hook up great and don't pull down my motor noticeably on the 440, they are too much for my R though. I give them a big thumbs up, I just hope they hold up for a good while.
