Do a search many many many threads are there. Ive tried it but i found that if i didn't like the looks i'd be fuched and would be able to put the old 300 plastic back on (if u do it the right way). But i think i needed a seat to make everything work but its possible.

i had a good friend put '02 racecut 400ex plastic on his 98 300ex. it should be a simple matter of fitting up the plastic and fabricating some metal brackets/mounts. patience and perserverence!

i would ask him for you but he passed on last year. terrible story - he was used to the extended swingarm on his quad holding the front end down better than stock, and lost control around a corner on his neighbors stock quad (the front end came up just too much to steer). he flipped up an embankment and into a tree; two weeks of coma later he slipped from our world.

Sorry to hear that dragr13.

It should be fairly simple. Some metal brackets, and some bolts.
