I have a 01 300EX. On the bottom of the rear end there is a screw right in the middle between the sprocket and the break (but on the bottom) Does any one know what this screw is for?
is there any lube in there? and if so how do you fill it since the only opening is on the bottom?
I know this is probably in the book but mine has not come in yet and I would really like to know.

that screw is to hepl hold your bearring carrier from wiggling loose. your supposse to loosen it when ever you adjust your chain tension. if you don't you put grooves in your bearing carrier which makes the bolt useless and your chain can come loose just from riding. and no you can't put lube in it. just make sure to loosen it when you adjust your chain and make sure to tighten it up whne your done
