Go and have FUN pace your self your in for one hard ride 4 laps there is

Posted by: quadman22

4 laps? wow how many practice laps do we get? and how many people are usually in the 4-stroke C class?

Posted by: 4traxx

I went to Southwick for the first time this year. It was easier to get in to watch but a long way from the pits . I noticed the pro open class 4 strokes had kickstarters what motors are they runing ?

Posted by: Sick0

There running dirtbike motors(crf450f, 426yzf)

Posted by: NTPRacing#19

how did southwick go, i didnt go and i was wondering if it was rained out like it was in june. cause i know that night here in NH we had downpours ALL night and morning

Posted by: 2000ex

Quadman22 took 4th in the 4 stroke C class. Not too shabby for a first timer on a basically stock EX. Congrats man

Posted by: Sick0

well the track was great. it was a liitle muddy for practice but buy the end of the day the were spraying water on the track. it didn't get that rough until about the the mid way break. I ran 4 races in the first half and didn't even get armpump.

Posted by: Sick0

I had more problem than I thinks possibly. I didn't have one thing go right today. But some how I didn't break any thing and I didn't egt hurt and some how had a lot of fun, even though its was very frustrating day.

Posted by: Knight440

It was a good day no rain and Quadman22 Took 4th over all in for stroke C Pretty Dam good for his first race

Posted by: Sick0

Its was good meeting the exriders guys again. Thanks again for the cd Knight440.

Yeah I was surprise the rain held off all day, and the track was as good as it was,

Np I told you we could find are way to the gate Good job today for sure

Yeah I think we may see 2000ex before the end of the season I think we got him hook line and sinker

Posted by: EX 80

Quadman22- You think southwick is fun? Try jolly roger its much better than southwick, nice and smooth. But any way great job .

Sick0- All i got to say is DAMN you have bad luck, i saw you flip in and LCQ in the first turn. But you are still alot luckier than the guys that had a horrible crash in Open A.

NtpRacing#19-Yeah the track was great (not muddy for racing). Brutal as hell by end of day.

Redrizza- Great job holding your 1st place standing in 4 stroke A. I can't wait to watch the video of you that knight440 has. I like watching peole i know but its hard for that race because your after me. I did get to watch you in the open class.

Posted by: dawzie

Great track conditions today. Our YZF426 had a overheating problem again. So we didn't race it. Ran the Cannondale in pro-am 4 stroke, my son took a 6th and 4th. Not a bad finish considering he was dead last in the first hole shot and then the o-ring on the fuel line decided to shrink and allowed air to be sucked in the fuel line We got that fixed but it was to late to run pro class soo we skipped it figuring we get it in the second moto. 2nd moto pro-am 4 stroke he was 6th in the hole shot and finished 4th. He was so beaten by the track he said skip the pro class again. The Cannondale was flawless in the 2nd moto. Those guys in that pro class are awsome, they ran 15 minutes plus two laps, So I think they ran like 12 laps or so.

See everyone there next month for the National

Posted by: EX 80

Dawzie i got a few pics of carl in his second moto, not very good but they are of him. I can email them to you, if you want. Atleast you came to see what you had ahead of you for the nationals. Now you know what you have to practice for. Yeah Joe in the pro classes if fast as He!!. He should do pretty descent at the southwick national with all those laps under his belt.

That be cool ex 80 dawzie@yahoo.com

dawzie
Nice to meet you I was the guy who brought my buddy over to show him his old quad

And yes Carl had a good day happy to see him on the dale

Posted by: quadman22

i found out that the first 5 places gets trophies too its cool to come home with a trophy. btw, muff didnt make the qualifier but he got second in the LCQ. in the main he finished in third a few seconds ahead of me. hey knight, e-mail any pics or videos to jarosm@attbi.com i really appreciate it. oh and knight did better than he said, he had some bad luck in the LCQ, he was middle pack going over the table right after the washboard but oine guy got sideways and bottle necked him. he probably woulda qualyfied if it wasn't for that incident. it was cool meeting a bunch of you guys from this sight too. hopefully i will amke it to Jolly Roger later this year.

Posted by: Knight440

No pic's so far and don't think anyone got them but a ton of video of most of ya's

Thanks John

Yeah, I got 1st in 4stroke A and 3rd in Open A. The motor was pretty good, pretty much equivilant to mine. Very underpowered though like usual at the beginning of the day with that wet sand. By the end of the day things were hardening enough that HP wasn't as big a bennefit, so I was keepin up a little better. How'd u do?

Vinny how'd u do?

Posted by: redrizza

OK, there were 3 guys involved in the crash, 270 on Cannondale, the guy on the KFX, and Bill Burt on the 400ex (#7). We went to pickup my buddy Bill at the hospital, he and EMT thought for sure his ankle was broken, but after some x-rays they found no fractures, so he just sprained it. His ankle is the size of a softball (no joke) and getting real black and blue come time to stop and get some dinner on the way home. When I was at the hospital I asked about the other two and I guess there was still no known info on them, I guess they were both in catscan at the time I asked.

Posted by: Knight440

Thats great to hear Bills leg isn't broke

Thanks for the Update!

Posted by: muff

the guy on the kfz turned out to be ok..got a black eye and some scratches but nothing major

josh #270 fractured 3 of his vertebre and hopefully will be returning home today, one of his kidneys might be brused also

heres what happened

josh was in 2nd and cleared the tabletop but was going so fast that he endoed hard and the quad flipped...everyone else got hurt trying to run around him. He got hit atleast twice cause i could see him get tossed/flipped around

i'm glad everyone else seems ok

Posted by: Knight440

thanks for the update Muff how bad was the dale?

read back to bottom of the last page

Posted by: Sick0

knight440- I finally was able to see the video. I like editing and was surprise the effort you put into it.

Muff- Good pass on the out side in open class. I was happy to get around that pain in the as kid with raptor. I couldn't find any good lines with out being to risky. think if I didn't have to deal with him I would have been able to atleast made it into the top 8. I think he was slowing us both down. Plus I think I got some pics of you.

Posted by: 300exHILLER

I finally got a trophy!!! I got 2nd in the qual and 5th in the main. i missed 4th by a bumper to the points leader. And #55 in the air-cooled class got his engine torn down after the main but he was legal. He is running a LSR 250R frame with a blaster motor. Suppose to be a $17K quad and he runs all the nationals with the flying fins team. But who cares I still took the holeshot.

Posted by: ZillaSMR

Great job Dan on your 4th place in the 4s C........I am the guy that was with Knight doin the filmin.Good job to all others from here that were there also....That was some good racin'.....

You got the hole shot twice in a row. to bad you could hold on to it.

I tell you spending 17k on a 300 air cooled class quad is a lot.
I was him I would try racing 250 class to see how he would do.

He's only 15. i talked to him and he already has a walsh crf450 and is running pro-am next year when he turns 16.

Where are the PICS

Posted by: dawzie

Glad to hear that those 3 guys are going to be OK.I didn't see either one of them two lying on the track move at all.

Posted by: EX 80

Yeah i think number 55 is to young for any other classes. I raced with him in winchester last week, he was on a YFZ. I got smoked by every one, except the DNF's

see the results.....

1 75 Unk Joe Haavisto New Ipswich, NH 1 1
2 54 SUZ Nick Winegar 4 2
3 55 HON Jake Hakala New Ipswich, 3 3
4 25 HON Jon Glynn Oakham, MA 2 4
5 80 HON Vincent Turgeon Holyoke, MA 5 5
6 87x HON Joel Corey 6 DNS
7 99 Unk Chad Lucznski N Adams, MA DNF DNS
8 45 SUZ Justin Winegar New Ipswich, NH DNS DNS

I signed up for amatuer expert because there was only one entry at the time and then the rest of the guys pulled in after i signed up. I will do novice next time. I still would not have won novice, there were a few fast guys there too.

cool just post them when ur ready

300exhiller-If i were you I'd try open C before i went to 4 stroke B. When my friend ran his blaster last year he did open c a few times, along with his air cooled class.

The only down side I see you racing 4stroke b is you can move down if that class is fast than you thought it would, And I know are think about getting a bigger quad in the future, so you will be stuck in the high class. I know you down care to much about the 4stroke class and probly just want a little more track time. But besides that I don't see why you souldn't. You are pretty fast on 300. You don't have much to lose if you do race that class, I would give it a try. And just think, after racing the amuture class air will seam slow.

Posted by: 300exHILLER

Hey thanks I just looked at the race lineup and open C is a better fit in the day for me, it's alot further away than 440 B. But doesn't open C have Quals? That could interfare with the aircooled. Plus I don't want to run over sick0 when he wrecks

The only probly with open class is you will have a ***** getting a good start. with banshee and raptors and the newer open class quad. also jolly roder the bigger hp quads have a lot bigger advantage than at southwick wheres its more about suspension and technique were your skill you beat the bigger quads. It might be to frustrating. But I would think you would have more time to rest and time between heats if you race open.

Yeah you should stay out of my way when my chit just dies or I crash.

Posted by: EX 80

Open C usually does have qual. But i don't see how what would bother your air cooled class because open races when it usually does. They just split it into group a and b for qual. For the Main it would be when it usually is.

Posted by: RIjon

I got Wheel bearings, brake pads, and a teather coming from the Quadshop

I guess I have to fill out that Entry Form for JR ? Can you do it over the web or does it have to be mailed in?

What class should I run (Never raced before)

Knight440 knows how I ride ...more or less

Thoughts?

Probly 4stroke C. And maybe open C if you want to race another class.

I don't care what place I come in. I just enjoy riding at jollys so I think I'm going to run open C.

Well then fuc it then. Show them what a little skill and 300 can do. I don't think you will do bad I just over think some things.

Posted by: 300exHILLER

I rather run 440 B but open C fits alot better into the day.

Posted by: quadman22

yeh!!! my dad told me that im going to Jolly sept. 7th. i can't wait!!! knight, are you going to be there?

Posted by: RIjon

So do I have to fill out and Mail THIS FORM in to Race there??

Can I do this at the gate?

Posted by: EX 80

Quadman22-Glad to hear your going. You will love it. Unless you don't like to hit jumps. LOL

RIjon- You can fill out a pre entry form and mail it in. I don't know what you have a link of in the last post, i wouldn't work for me. You can fill everything out the day of the race at 7 am at the sign up building. I have never pre entered, I have always done so the day of the race. Email the NEATV-MX to make sure that they will be there early to sign you up for a membership. You don't need AMA for JOLLY ROGER. I hope i helped you a little bit.

Posted by: RIjon
