My 300ex has smoked a little since I got it, so I want to get the engine in top shape by getting a rebuild with a with a .020 over piston kit. I was wondering, since its going to be in the shop anyway, are there any other things that should be replaced/adjusted engine wise on a 3 year old quad?

you shouldn't have to do a thing except cange the oil and oil filter, and maybe adjust the valves. but the shop will do that

front a-arms bushings, rear axle bushings, tigethen hub bolts, high comp piston (11:1) but thats about all i can think of...

if you replace the bearings now for around 50-60 bux its alot cheaper then 220 when they go, plus they will tear up your brake hub and if they get ur sprocket hub then u need a new axle.

Alright, Thanks for your replies. I was also wondering if I should get new valve seals..?

if you trust your mechanic, just tell him to go thru the whole motor and replace anything that looks bad. better to have him replace it anyway while the motor is apart then paying him to tear down the motor again later.
