whats a good way to get your chain real clean after riding in the mud.i scrubed and scrubed and i couldnt get it all off

I use a rag dipped in kerosene and wipe it good, then a tooth brush lightly on top, bottom and sides with kerosene. Rinse off with water. Cleans up pretty good. Then when I put on my chain lube, it looks good to go.

kerosene. no questions about it. Wont ruin o rings or damage anything, is recomended by the manual and most chain companies and cleans great!
