What kind of power do these things ahve, it in pieces and it needs a rebuild the guy was goign to do it but decide to sell it, how can i make sure the motor isnt really damaged since i cant start it?

how much power does these things make with good compresion, would it be comparible to a honda 250r?

first the most important question is what year is it? i had an 85 (the worst year) and it would smoke 400ex's all day long and mine ran like crap. should be able to beat R's too. of course this is all drag racing. on the track its a different story. their not bad quads by any means tho,

its a 86, did they make a 4 storek and 2 strke 250?

Yea, the QuadSport (4stroke) and QuadRacer (2stroke)...I beleive both were 250cc. But, I also think they made the QuadSport in 230cc?

The Quadsport was always a 230 except for '89 and '90 when they made the 250.

Yep, the good 'ol 250 QuadSport... that was my second quad.... I miss that quad. Damn thing was bullet proof!

If you get the LT250 Quadracer running decent, it will give you tons of power to play with. My buddy rebuilt one (87 I believe) and he would smoke out quads all day long in a field... We would either get the holeshot, or hang with him for a few gears.... then we would smell 2 stroke exhaust the rest of the way.

they are a little faster then the R. i wanted one when i was looking for a quad but i love 4 strokes but if its at a good price i would get it.

im gettign one for 350 bucks it needs a rebuild and it is torn down because the guy was goign to rebuild it but decide to sell it it runs but needs a rebuild for max power im probably going to go .60 over geta fmf pipe and turbine core silencer, this is goign to be a 2 stroke race bike so im getting some hsd a arms and having them convert my rear swingarm.

i think its a good deal for 350

as a basket case, 350 is a really good deal, it's a lot of work to do a full on rebuild... but once your done & its dialed in, it's a fun machine.

yeah it just a ytop end rebuild it needs but i want to make it a race bike so the whole bike is basiclly goign to be redone it runs as is just has no compresion so it wont be 2 fast but i want to get it 100% back topgether to make sure it works and everythings cool then start the rebuild.

If you do buy it and need some parts let me know I have a 86 LT250 R in my garage, back in the corner and am thinking of redoing it for a project. Dont really know if I am gonna though. rather spend the time riding, lol. But if you need any parts I may be able to part with them.
