Mid 80s KX 80? need help

Me and my dad bought a old kx80 as a pit bike somethign to mess arround on well the guy we bought it from said it had oil injection but wheres it at? i cant find it anywhere and i dont think it has it.

Also what oil should i use for the gearcase?

Make sure you use pre mix for the gas and 10-30w for the trans !

oil injection is where you don't have to mix oil and fuel together like on a blaster

heres what i run in my kx100, pro honda fully synthetic premix mixed 32:1 and i use pro honda tranny oil. also there is no oil injection on your bike.

even if there is oil injection, screw it, just mix it your self, and you can use 10w-30 oil for gear case, it is basically the same as other stuff, but watever

o0k im running pre mix now and 10w-30 are you guys sure that the bike doesnt suck oil up from the tranny like a 4 stroke, because with premix the damn thing wont run at all, it wont start, the gu tht ahd it before me had it only aobut a month after sitting in a barn but it ran great, he said it had oil injection as he was told buy the orginal owner, so he ran straight gas in it, but now the damn thing wont start with premix, but with straigh gas it runs and it smokes a bit like a 2 stroke.

Well, if he ran straight gas, it could be one of two things.
1. It's WAY lean.
2. Its has no comnpresion from no lubrication

Are you using the 10w-30 in your gas?

The bike does not have an oil injector. just mix the oil with gas. Make sure you use a good pre-mix oil. And if I'm not mistaken I beleive Kawi's run 50:1 ratio(I think so).

no no, i wasnt makin fun of ya, i agree with ya.. i just ment it'd be real stupid to put motor oil in the gas.. it seems like he is puttin motir oil in the gas

no i put 10w 30 in the tranny, i figured out what was run the plug was all fed up it wouldnt work at all so i got a bunch of plugs since sits a 2 stoke, so it runs good now.

is it 32 or 50 ?

In a two fifty, i would with good premiuim top of the line oil.

We run 50:1 in a kx125 all the time with no problems

no its 10w 30 in the tranny works gret and the mix is 32 : 1 it works great that 80 even thoguht its old, i beleive a 80 or 81 not really mid 80s. Its only had run rebuild but it still mruns great, its got alot of mid range power if you know where the powerband is and how to drive its got alot more power then i thoguht it would.
