i know peep are doing it on the 400ex, but i'm not finding no articles on how its done on the 300ex. Has anybody tried this or would like to tell me the steps by steps - i would appreciate it very much

i dont think it will work, 300ex plastic is 2 pieces while 400ex is a one piece

if you give me some 300 fronts and a raptor hood i'll find out for you....i'm good at that stuff

Only 300 on the site with a fibe 250r scoop

but if you really want it done i'm sure i could do it for you? if anyone would wanna offer up some plastic and a hood i would try? and then ben could review it in the review section

....True, only reason i don't have one is b/c i havn't sent off for it yet.

If Maier 300ex fronts, and stock or maier 400EX fronts have the same conture's (rounded profile's) on the nose. then i'm pretty sure it could be done. I don't think it would mater, that the 300's plastic is 3 piece's, Might acctually benifit..
After you remove the hood,you can move the side plastics in or out....Worth a look anyway. Tell us how it come's out.

Rappy hood on a yz450 convertion bike, would make more sence though.

yeh i tend to get that alot, but when its done n all is finished, they are the exact ones that will scratch their heads - and shake your hands and then say - dang that looks good.

but oh well, i'm always into modin something differently, so i'll post it up when i get my hood in..

I had to find somewhere to post the pic, it was eating away at me. So dont take it seriously. It sounds hard just to put the 250r hood on the 300ex, and the hoods arent that much different, but the raptor hood is like 3D, and all funky monkey and what not. Dunno just wont work right and will prolly fall apart:confused2

i was lookin in the new issue of dirt wheels - august.. and heres another idea but im not up for it.. but somebody might be tho.. is the gas gas 300- the hood on those.. its like a piece of lexan or flexible clear plastic bolted on the top where you can see through. I found that interesting

i think it would look sweet if someone actually did it, if i had money to waste id buy some plastic and a craptor hood and try it, i dont thiojgh, so good luck to anyone who tries it and be sure to post pics!!

i think it looks great.. alot sweeter with the front lowered n spreaded out .. to make it more agressive lookin.. just my .02

I think the 250r hood looks better on them. The raptor hood looks alright, but maybe cut the fenders and take off the light, so it doesnt look quite as goofy.

Don't Maier 400Ex fronts fit on a 300 with minimal fabrication? Why not get a set of those then put the hood on that?
