I have always kind of looked at Dirt Wheels as a brochure for thier advertisers. I don't think FMF would have a reason to post up a fake dyno sheet. But maybe the 45 is with all the Yamaha stuff bolted on???

flywheels # are higher than rear wheel ponies. when they say dyno #, i would assome that the pull is on a chassis dyno. so the # are rear wheel hp. don't count the yfz out yet...jmo

660 I am not counting it out, heck i am still trying to figure out how to buy the one on my dealers showroom floor right now. I was just a little suprised at the numbers. And I don't remember ever seeing any atv hp numbers based on the motor only. Everything I have seen was on a chassis dyno.

Suposedly you can get 20% more out of it with a factory pipe, no airbox lid and rejetting. And then who knows with the piston.

ok the motor is detuned im not suprised its not puttin out so much power. its got the WR exhaust cam in it and it has a different piston rod in it then the bike motor and if you take the airbox off and take the muffler restriction out and rejet it the thing will easily make 45 or more at the rear wheel

Yamaha says if you do those mods you get 20%, even if that is true it would be around 38 not 45.

I saw a stock GT Thunder dyno that stated 41.5 stock. I would say that the GT Thunder is a lot closer than the FMF.

And some (like fmf) seem to allways get low numbers from the stock settings

and have even posted dyno results on their site with diffs over 10% on the same set ups so I am more than a little skeptical.

Funny I had pointed that out to them a couple times thru email and got answers that varied as much as the results

I think you are probably right, funny it looks like the quad may actually loose power with their pipe.

Thanks for posting the other numbers now I don't feel quite as bad about trying to buy one.

The only thing now is figuring out how to get the bars up.

i think it puts out mid 30s in stock form, the friggin bike only puts out like 47 and that quad motor isnt as fast
