damn i dont have to much money, where the cheapest palce to get prm skids?

you think the stocker with a little extra braking and with no beely skid i can survive one race?

Posted by: toby400ex

u might be able too, but i didnt even like having my stock skid for my trails behind my house:confused2

i think im goign to run with only stock skids i reinforced it and will buy skids if i decide i relaly like xc and want to continue.

I think you should run skids man. Like someone said better safe than sorry. I have a shark racing skid on the rear and like it. Cheaper money wise than others but keeps my stuff protected. Here is a link to cheap one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&category=34284

im going racing this wekend so if im getting any it needs to be quick and that aution wont work, i was thinking of some prm chassius and swingarm since a arm skids arnt needed but i dont really want to spend 200 bucks i only have 300 left in my savings acount ive been spending so much

My two cents.

I bought a dg skid plate and totally destroyed it the 85 dollar piece of junk in ride.

My advice is to buy a Pro-Tect skid plate. They are the only(i think) steel skid plate you can buy. Mine has lasted me for over a year and thats with destroying an aluminum skid in one ride. The best thing about the steel skid is you can always heat it up and bend it back into shape and you wont have to worry about the metal breaking down. Where is the aluminum.... If its toast, its toast.

pro fab make steel ones to but can the reinforced stock one last one race? if i bend it up then i can just quite i guess and get soem skids when i get home

Definitely get ProTect skid plates. I run the Missouri Harescrambles too and you definitely need some protection.

is tebetts a really rocky track, if it is anything like columbia ur stock skid will work

Posted by: bigb426ex

I completely forgot about how this place is like. We do so many that I forget how the track is. I'm sure that it will be rocky so definitely not a stock skidplate.

a stock skid will work

this tebbets track was all new last year they had just cleared a lot of trees off of it so there may be so stumps if they use the same track and they usually do, they just will run it in the other direction
