There saying the new Toomey T6 pipes are even better then the T5's

Posted by: 300EX_HMF

the T6 is just a package kit that comes with air filter jets and stuff and the T5 doesnt. thats why they saying its better

Posted by: Chanman420q

T-6 best out there right now.

Posted by: bansheeguy77

You make a mistake. The The T5 is better than the the T6.
My dealer try it on the dyno and the T5 made more HP than the T6

Posted by: CHAUNCY

Toomey makes nice pipes for banshees

true...

the guy tried them on his banshee. he was at 53HP with the T5 and he dropped at 48 I think with the T6... the bike was built also.

toomey are asking a lot more also for the T6 .. what a rip.

Posted by: DMCBanshee

Toomey=**** ITS SIMPLE

what? i thought the TR-6 is supposed to have more power than the T5's....at least that's what Toomey claims on their website...that's bull.....does the T5's come with the 2-1 air box kit?

Posted by: bansheeguy77

its all hear say....dont believe it till ya know it yourself. but i highly doubt toomey would release a pipe that they worked on for several years only to produce less power than their old pipes

Posted by: HiperEX

if you want a great pipe for the price i would suggest Bill's i just got them on my shee, i ordered from moto-man.com i got the pipe package that was 450$ but if you just want the pipes its only 400$ great shipping its very fast i got mine within 3 days after the order, www.moto-man.com

Posted by: FastestXuwilsee

yall are all smokin weed if you think toomeys will out perform CPI tucki-ins

Posted by: jreudaly

Toomey engineers claim that the t6 almost doubles the performance created by the t5 on a stock banshee. which it was purely designed for. This was the answer i was given when i asked toomey if it was really worth trading my t5 in for the t6 i also requested tech data on this and not just a sales pitch so for what its worth the t6 is way better on paper but i havent tested it yet

TRUE!! But, CPI pipes are the HOT-SET-UP !!

Posted by: jreudaly

since there is a war with many players in the banshee pipe market there is other things to consider when choosing a pipe (and by the way any aftermarket pipe makes a dramatic difference in performance) my fav is toomey for two reasons they make a great product and provide superior service for that product what other manufacture will buy back your old t5 pipes to sell you the t6 for about $200 cheaper

Posted by: ledofthezep

In all reality, choose a pipe that suits your style. There are many different types of pipes that will yield different gains.

Posted by: drifterx

Toomey I think is the best deal, with the total package kit. If you want to go light, Trinity just came out with titanium pipes and carbon fiber mufflers for a Banshee, but I can see it costing you out your @$$.

Posted by: SHOCKER

toomey t-6's down right are the bomb, for shizzle

Negative. On a stock banshee, yes. Put them on a modded motor, no...you're better off with T-5's on a worked motor. Call them & ask if you don't believe me.

Again, pipes are designed differently to yeild different gains. Not one pipe is necessarily 'better' than the other...depends on what you are wanting out of the pipe. For example, how many drag banshee's do you see with 2:1 pipes designed for low-end gains?

Fo shizzle, git cho idizzles correct on the banshizzle.

D'OH!!!

Posted by: TheWolf

First you/we need to know what kind of riding you are planning on doing and what engine mods you have or plan on doing.

Posted by: bansheerider_13

i like the fmf sst and paul turner mids the best toomey is also a very good pipe but to many people have it and i like to be different the dyno port 2 into 1 is also a great set up

Posted by: banshee-03

my buddy has a 02 banshee all stock with the exception of a t-5 kit with the 2:1 filter kit and perfect jetting from dynoport. I have a 03 banshee all stock with tr-6 kit, 2:1, jet kit also. Both have the same size tires, and sprockets. We raced several times and even switched quads and everytime mine would pull ahead but when we both topped out his would pass mine with at least 5 mph faster. no doubt the tr-6 has better power down low and through the mid but they top out sooner than the t-5

Posted by: 86350x

Paul Turner Mids, Toomey t5's (Toomey told me themselves to get the t5's instead of t6's since my machine isn't stock). FmF fatties also.

Cpi's are the best for peak power and drag racing, but they stick out pretty far and will melt your riding pants. Not the hot set-up for trail riding. But awesome for the dunes. I bought the t5's because they work well with ported motor's, and they tuck in pretty good. Also the give you enought room to get at the carbs, and clear the fuel shut-off.

I'd buy t5's over t6's any day of the week and twice on sunday. P-TMids work well, but FMF fatties, and t5's are my favorites.

T6's and SST's DO NOT work with porting, and aren't intended for modified motors.

Posted by: bansheeke

I run the t-5's on myne. But I'm selling them in favor of ROCKET pipes. Also, the CPI's and shearer pipes are great. I already ordered my rockets, so I'll see how they perform.
I loved my t-5's. Worked great, but with all my porting, i need to move some more air.

T-6's are a great pipe if you want to stay stock(who wants to do that?) Also, the fmf sst's are good too. I like them on my buddy's 03 limited shee. But, he has no porting etc.

If you are stuck on toomeys, go with the t-5's for sure.

You may want to try out rocket pipes though, heard good things about them on near stock bikes AND ported/bored/stroked shees.

Also, i have ridden cpi piped shee's. I was impressed. dem pipes waz off da hizzle fo shizzle yo! lol

DYNO-PORT BANSHEE
2 INTO 1 PIPE

this thing sounds like a F1 race car.
ID get it just for the sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds like a indy car on roids!!!!!!!!!!

it makes lots of low to mid
but tops out quicker that most pipes!!

great for the woods!!!
bad for drags!!!

Posted by: yamahonda

to get the right pipe we need to know what you are looking for... you want top end get toomeys... if you want low end and top end get dmc pipes... i had dmc on my banshee and they kicks ***.. and beat my buddies banshee with toomeys everytime....not to mention the sound is awesome

Posted by: bansheeke

You talkin about t5's? I didn't think his shee had t5's on it. I wish you would have came down to the drags so we could see how fast that shee really was.

Posted by: riggsracing

dyno port or moto fast 2n1

my brothers banshee that you seen has t3's but one of my riding buddies has t5's and another buddies has t6's althou i never got the chance to race the t6's i'm sure i would have smoked him....when we gonna go for a ride??? i wanna see how good or bad my 400 is... hard to tell by myself... tried to race my bro but i blew his ear drums when i nailed it and he stopped...he could not tell when he needed to shift cus i was so loud!!!!! so if we race you better get the holeshot other you will not hear your shee to know when to shift... but i suck at starts so shouldn't be a problem...raced a raptor other day gave him a head start and he beat me so i don't know this thing maybe slow... even thou i was spinning thru 1st and 2 gear then 3rd it stood straight up and i let off i was catching him at the top thou but he still won!!!but he also has been riding since he was 6.. i been riding since i was what 19 20???back to subject thou... dmc is a good all around pipe t5's are more top and ok bottom... i did have more motor work then the t5 banshee i raced....he took off 2 bikes ahead of me and i passed him and won by 3 bikes...

Posted by: 86350x

I have a set of t3's also. Like the 5's better. The 3's work good after you cut them and add a 2 inch section near the top of the biggest (widest point near the tank). If I get a cheetah set up, I'm going to go that route.

I think 2 into 1's suck. They are a ***** to jet, and you loose so much top-end power it isn't worth it. Get used to riding a higher rpm machine/don't be a panzy.

If you want a good midrange all-around pipe get fmf knarly's or paul turner mids. I like my t5's becuase they let my porting and other mods work to there potential.

I have heard nothing but good things on the rockets, I'm sure you'll love them. The only thing I don't like is that they stick out pretty far. Would probrably melt my expensive boots, and or riding pants trail riding.

Posted by: bansheeke

i'm not a fan of the 2/1's either, but they do look pretty cool imo

I have heard about the cut t3's making big power. With all this damn rain we have got in the last few days, i haven't been able to tune these rockets. So far...i'm not impressed. My t5's were tuned so well, we will see what happens.

Posted by: riggsracing

mine wasnt a ***** to jet but my carb is kool b/c it dont have jets. break down and buy a electron carn and 2n1 intake

Posted by: 86350x

I have a k/n(2 into 1,no airbox) with tm34mm flat slides.

On the rocket pipes, you should jump on bansheehq.com The jettings going to be a couple of sizes fatter on the mains. But the needles, pilots and clip positions should all be close to the same.

Posted by: kuba1506

For woods i have the fmf gnarly torque pipes with power core 2 silencers and they rip but yeti havn't tried any other pipe and this is what i was told to be the best low end pipes or a better low end pipe

Posted by: jmac

check out slp pipes, super nice exhaust

Posted by: sweet300ex

1.CPI
2.Toomey T-5....IMO

Posted by: Jake250ex

I have a nice pair of t-5's for sale - pm me

Posted by: 2stroketwin

What style of riding does your freind do?
My opinion,

general riding any of the below,
Paul turner mids (best chrome, great low-mid, nice differant look)
T-5 (Best sound, nice chrome)
FMF
Any aftermarket pipe with chrome and cheap that isn't High Rev

Posted by: ledofthezep

Exactly. There are various pipes to suit different riding styles; therefore I do not believe there is one 'best' set of pipes for a banshee. To each, their own.

Posted by: pitbull racing

toomey t6 my friend has them on his banshee they just need spark arresters then they would be sweet but u can buy a hush kit just extra money get the t6 on ebay cheap they have there own sound that no pipe can match

Posted by: bansheeke

they are only a good pipe for unported motors. Much better pipes out there that make way more power. If you plan on staying stock(who does?) t-6's are a good pipe.

Posted by: EPDP99

T-6 are for more bottom end, if you look at the pipe they have a different bend than the t-5's, i like the trinity pipes for the banshee.

Posted by: pitbull racing

look thats the hp performance difference but dont be jeleous just because u cant afford t-6s its ok hmmm what now b*tch

Posted by: riggsracing

my self i like the 2n1 pipes. i think its ur own opinion. all pipes have disavandages and advandages. its all about what type of riding u do and ur riding style. and just because its higher doesnt mean its better.

WTF dude...grow up. T-6's are kiddy ****. If you run t-6's....i'm sure you aren't fast.

Posted by: bansheeke

lol..this cat knows^^^^

I'll throw my t-5's back on just for you. And still put an *** spankin on you

Posted by: Lt250r*68

id go with pro circuit R304 with factory sound headers

Posted by: rollie

id go with the tommey pipes...ive heard they make it sound alot better and it puts out good power

Posted by: Mxjunkie

FMF Fattys with Power core 2 silencers and t-5s are the hot ticket.

Posted by: kuba1506

i run FMF gnarly torque pipes with power core II silencers and it gave me great bottom end power gains. this is my opinion yet i have not ran any other type of pipes besides stock and FMF

Posted by: dragracer7

toomeys are nice but i heard that lrds are nice too

Posted by: honda450r101

are lrds any good?

Posted by: b4e2r0t

i woods and drag with my CPI's, they do great with my modded banshee. i had LRD's on my older banshee, they were also a great pipe for my all around riding. like everyone else is saying go with the type of pipe that suites your riding.
