All of you old timers (such as myself) know that the names like Summers, Hawk and Sloan go hand in hand with the GNCC. On Sunday Scott Summers made a cameo race appearance in the Vet A class. He finished 7th overall passing all the 250A riders and half the pros. Granted I wasn't in the woods at all the bottlenecks but a 17 min lead over the 2nd place Vet A rider is absoluely amazing. Scott is truly a machine and I personally cannot wait for him to come out of retirement next year (if the rumors are true). Also, I'd like to say comgrats to Barry for his determination. If nothing drastic happens, he'll be on his way to the title and first rider ever to win ATV and Bike championships!

Jeff has some old blackwater footage that has scott in it and yeah the dude is a machine.. He rides a XR650 bike like it's a cr125..

He also races harescrambles here and I don't know much about bikes but the dude is badazz.. IMO he is the best bike rider ever in XC.

He makes great racing gear and products too for XC racers. All tested by him of course. Jeff Stoess is pretty good friends with him and is a test dummy for some of his new products. Jeff was telling me about a product last week that seems expensive but is something that will make XC racing change dramatically..

I have actually met you before in GA 99 me Jamie Shepard and Matt Foutch all ran the 4st Mod class. I will give you a shout at PA. I saw your quad on the line in MD on the way over to introduce myself to Stoess you were gone. We need to slow him down and what gives with all the high security teq info, I wanna know what the gizmo is.

If it is what I think it is, I definately need it. Especially with my latest string of bad luck. Looks like I won't be throwing anything away very soon. Look forward to hear how the testing is going. I believe I already read about it in dirt rider mag.

I also know what the teaser is, but cant tell. and at the mid souths, he seems to tease the normal fast guys like like there kids. kinda the equivelent of putting ballance in the sport class.

Back to the orginal topic. A couple months ago Scott showed up at a D-11 race (Southern Ohio) and spank everyone I think he overalled by 8-10 minutes over 2nd place. Then he turned around and entered the team race with a buddy and went out and had a minute lead by the end of the 1st lap. About half way thru the 2nd race he ran out of gas and had no extra fuel for the team so he loaded up and said he had enough fun.

Now on this top serect stuff Jeff is working on. I know what it is and it is big were talking bigger than adding than Suzuki adding the 4th wheel.

BTW did you guys see one racers solution to not get front flats?

Sorry Jeff someone had to let the cat out. One question how was the steering with this new prototype? and What are you going to do for the rears. Still need traction. Maybe weld lugs on like the old steel wheeled tractors.

I talked to Scott's dad Wade on monday and he said that Scott had forgotten to take the intake restrictor out of his XR650 and it wasn't running very well at all. Look for Scott to shake up the GNCC series next year!

As to what I was testing at the Wisp.......It is a flat prevention system for tires. I have to get permission to describe them but I can say that after the race I had a 2" gash in my rear tire and I didn't even know it!
I was making up huge amounts of time and passing like crazy in the big sharp rocks because I was confident that I wasn't going to get a flat!
It actually handles better too!
Hopefully they will be released before the series starts up again in Sept. TheQuadShop will be selling them as soon as they come out.
This is the greatest thing to come out since aftermarket shocks!

r u useing some kind of foam lineing. i know that dirt bike have some kind of solid tube instead of tubes.i run tubes in my tires and have had great luck with them but i have allway pondered what kind of materails i could replace the tube with.

Nope its not foam like the Moose Tubes that the bike guys run! They only last a couple races, these will last a very long time!

You know Jeff, you could always come out to a Mid East and go up against Bryan and Santo Derisi at the same time! It would be fun....and interesting. Our next race is at Big Buck on August, 17.

The MidSouth seires is great, but this is the summer series, it doesn't get the turn outs that the winter series does. Its an all new track so I don't know anything about it. Here is the website for all the info www.msws.org

I know what it is. Individual balls you fill up with air and when one blows ( great word it's it) the others take it's place I seen them on dirtbikes not to long ago. All you will have to replace is the balls (I said balls) when they pop.
